I wouldn't care if it was 50 bucks but he has offered 250 dlvd on 2 of my cards. The price is exactly what I would like but the 0 feedback has me going back and forth on it. I know I would send it with full insurance and signature confirmation but could he pull the stolen credit card crap or anything else? If I were to ship the items with the insurance and something unknown happened where the cards were delivered would I still be covered?

Someone who has gotten burned will have to speak on this - I haven't... but I just did accept an off ebay deal for $75. I sent the package with a normal Paypal shipping label and I took time to read the seller protection stuff. It would appear that by paying the Paypal fees (i.e. NON gift payment), you're under the seller protection... which would include the stolen credit card/unauthorized payment deal.

The paypal fees, are, essentially, insurance.

I think.

I have sent out 2 things over the course of the year over 50 bucks and had no problem with a zero feedback.

But like someone said their is risk in every transaction at anytime.

As long you take all the necessary precautions you shouldn't worry. Whether or not they pay is a different story. I've had two BOs in the past few months (16 and 5 feedback scores) that I had to open cases against.

I did manage to get the 16 score one kicked off of eBay :)

I posted a similar thread a few months back: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=135858

I guess the worst possible scenario did occur for me...the person won the auction and refused to pay / answer e-mails, but it's nothing serious. Just a pain having to deal with idiotic buyers.

You guys are listing all the known risks. He was looking for the unknown risks. Which are of course unknown.

So my helpful input into the thread is just this... "I don't know."

Best thing you can do with black swans is to try to set yourself up to benefit from positive black swans, and avoid situations that set you up for negative ones. That's what Nassim Taleb says anyways. Not sure what Rumsfeld would say, though I do hope to pick that book up soon.

lol.

0 feedback buyers are usually morons.
They may win an auction and then try to renegotiate a price.
Problem is that they don;t care as they have no reputation and can just open a new acct and add a stupid number to their already stupid ebay name.

I know everyone has to start somewhere, but more often than not a 0 feedbacker is just that, a zero!
