Got my sets yeterday (1 #/25 & 2 #/50). The Orange /50 all have scrathes but no real problem with the edges. But my purple set does have the edge issue along with the scratches. Also the packaging for one set was great and the other two not so much. They didn't put any styrofoam in one of the plastic boxes so the sets were moving pretty freely. Not all cards were damaged. The only one the was significant was the RGIII purple. Bottom right corner in the scan below.
Still happy with my purchase. Already moved one of the purple Dion Waiters. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=360578470196 I don't know why links work only half the time. Item number 360578470196.

Ouch, not sure why a 12 card $50 set wouldn't be in wimpy sleeves, top loaders, and packed securely. Sorry to hear that. Mine show up today, so I will post an update when I get them.

$50 card set arrives with damage because of inadequate packing? Criticism may be warranted in this case.

It seems as though the $50 set will be able to be resold for $100-150, and that any damage was from printing rather than shipping.

I'm sure there are people who will buy your set for $50 if you're unhappy. I'm sure BG would give you a refund if requested.

That's not the point, is it? Oh why do I bother....

What's the point, then?

You're upset. This I can see.

You paid $50. It's not in the condition you want it to be. Numerous experts here indicate it's a manufacturing, not packing, issue.
Chrome cards are shipped together ALL THE TIME WITHOUT PENNY SLEEVES and are okay (see: PACKS OF CHROME!).

You've still come out with a profit, or at least a refund.

What's the problem?

STOP PICKING ON LEAF. It's like a broken record with you!

Everything BG does is wrong. Poor guy can't catch a break on this board.

You've got my support, big man!

Did you finally reach the breaking point?

I personally like Leaf, and consider myself a supporter. Hoping my sets make it here safe and sound.

I wasn't complaining. I just simply added to the thread by letting others know that my sets had the same problem. I am extremely happy to have gotten a few sets. I wish I would have bought more of them.

I'm picking on Leaf now? There was a quality assurance issue that I believe should be addressed and if by pointing it out, that's your idea of picking on Leaf, so be it. I'm tired and won't continue this conversation...spent all my energy picking on Leaf. Someone else can pick up the slack. Argue on, Mr. Lawyer.

I'm not Mr. Lawyer. I'm Mr. School Bus Driver.

Brian is aware of it. Move on.

I received my other sets from Leaf today and the Gold #/10 set looks great. None of the scratching and none of the edge issues.

My #/50 set has some of the light surface scratching seen on the #/25 set, but perfect edges.

I think the issues actually stem from the quality of the laminate. And it provides great depth and shine...but also some susceptibility to light scratching in production.

All in all...these are great looking cards. I rarely grade anything, but I would feel confident sending a lot of these in.

Are all of them BGS 9.5 cards? No. But they look great.

Read somewhere the coating on the /10 is known in the state of California to cause cancer and other reproductive harm. I have a special Tyvek suit that is equipped to handle such materials. Please send me a /10 Puig 200lbhockeyplayer or whoever else can ship the fastest. Thanks, I'll be holding my breath. :)

I wanted to pick up the Puig 1/1 , but that went for $221! :o Thought that would be the cheapest out of all the baseball players, but boy was I wrong! I ended up getting the Soler 1/1 for $74, which seems like a steal. Why would Puig go for 3x as much? The LA factor?

Also, since I picked up the Soler 1/1, I'm going to try to pick up the entire rainbow. I have the 1/1 and the base already, if anyone is willing to sell the others let me know!

10 card lots of Lillard prizms are selling for around $100. would 10 card lots of these sell for that? if so that leaves you 11 other 10 card lots to make $77 plus fees seems like a no brainer.

Sad. It seems like the vast majority of the people here are only concerned with buying these sets to flip them and make a quick profit. I've only seen a few comments in the last 20 pages of posts that actually seem interested in buying these sets because they think it looks cool. And here I thought this was a sports card hobbyist forum.

Many people buy and sell to pay for their PC. Is that a problem? If buying a leaf card and flipping it, gives them an extra $50 to buy something they really want, where is the harm?

Some people like cards/money and some like to sit on a very tall horse. To each their own.
