I never thought Joakim Noah would be this good. I thought he was going to be soft and his game wouldn't translate to the NBA. Boy was I wrong.

I was wrong, but eventually saw promise in his game last year. I still didn't expect what he's doing now.

It will be interesting to see how Boozer affects his numbers.

I was definitely wrong. I was pissed off when the Bulls drafted him and I never thought he'd amount to anything more than one of those guys that succeeded in college because he played with high energy but just didn't have the skill set or drive to succeed in the NBA. Sometimes it's not so bad being wrong.

I think it should be just fine.
Maybe I'm wrong - but wasn't one of the things with Boozer that he was a much better (and preferred to be) PF.....but he was forced to play a lot of Center as well. Kind of like Bosh in Toronto. Not to mention - pretty sure Boozer isn't really known for his defense.

So maybe having Noah by his side will help. Noah can continue to do the heavy-lifting on the boards and the little things he does well.....and it's less pressure on Boozer and he can potentially even be better on the offensive side.
(though that may just be best case scenario from a Bulls fan lol)

How does Gibson compare as a rebounder to Boozer? If Boozer is better on the glass than Gibson then I would assume Noah's rebounding number will drop a little. I also think that some of Noah's offensive opportunities will be taken away by Boozer.

Boozer is a beast. I would much rather have in on my team than Bosh.

Gibson is a good rebounder. He averages a bit above 6 per game.
I guess I should have quantified it - because when Boozer is back obviously it will impact Noah's reb numbers some...doubt he will maintain a 15 rpg pace or whatever it is he's at. Just that he still should be putting up good numbers and be around the league lead even with Boozer.

As for offense - to this point it seems the majority of Noah's points are still off pick & roll (one area Boozer may take away from) , Rose's penetration and second chance points. He's gotten better with the mid-range shot and his post game......but that other stuff is less dependent on getting touches, so I'd think he'd not fall too much scoring-wise.

I didn't think Noah would amount to anything, but I must admit I'm biased because I disliked him very much in college and was hoping he would suck in the NBA. Just always found him to be annoying and don't really like watching him play.

When I first saw him play and then in person all I could do is think of the smiley every time he was out there ::facepalm::
And then when he did his interviews it was this one :benson: but I have to say he seems to have turn things around and is actually interesting to watch now. Not a great center like some of the past Bulls but he is coming into his own.
