The only one I like around Pittsburgh is the one near 19 in McMurray. They have a lot of product, but their prices are high and they don't like to haggle.

They have some older boxes. They always have $20 boxes from the 90s that I like to try. I was there about two hours my first time.

I think they are the best in the South Hills.

What part of Pittsburgh do you live in? I can name 7 cards shops off the top of my head, all spread throughout the surrounding areas.

I don't even like going to McKeesport to visit my half sister, so I dont think I'd go there for cards.

I actually never even heard of that place.

I usually go to Sportscards Etc in McMurray for my supplies, because they have the biggest selection and it's on my way home from work. Their prices on wax is high, so I rarely buy wax there. When I buy wax, I buy them from my buddy who owns 1st & Goal Sports Collectibles, in Century III Mall. I'm helping out a friend and he gives me deals and also doesn't charge me tax.

However, my favorite shop is Sports Card Junction, which is in the North Hills. They have a nice selection of supplies and a nice selection of wax. Both times I've been there I pulled 2 very nice hockey cards, a Malkin auto and a Jagr auto.

I would suggest Sports Card Junction as well. I went their on a recommendation from Tim and was very happy with the prices and the selection. I used to go to the Sports Cards Etc in McKees Rocks near The Mall at Robinson but haven't been there in almost a year now.

Oh ok, Sports Card Junction is probably only about 1/2 hr drive for you then.

There's also a shop in Pittsburgh Mills but I was only in there VERY briefly and didn't have much time to look around.

What years and brands are you looking for?

i like base topps, base bowman, anything that has a good amount of base rookie cards. nothing too high end, just fun to break.

If you ever have time to drive to the South Hills, there's a shop called Collector's Den.

http://www.sportscard-stores.com/store/ ... hobby-shop

He has a lot of old wax in his shop.

My buddy who owns the shop in Century III Mall actually gets all of his old wax from the guy at Collector's Den.

Make sure you check out Collector's Den hours before you go, he is only open everyone other day of the week. He does have some nice old wax, but you will pay for it.
