Especially Baseball Card Magazine, SCD, Beckett, anything with articles on the hobby.

I've been picking them up at shows and picking a few off ebay lately in an attempt to build up some material to do some revisionist history writing.

I like looking at the history of our hobby and these types of mags are RICH with material.

PLease let me know if you have a stack sitting in your closet that you know you don't want.

Thanks in advance!

Somewhere I have a stack of the monthly mags consecutive issues from like 2004-2007...And probably two years worth of the one that was every 6 months then went bimonthly.

I'll see if I can find 'em tomorrow, I'm off work. You pay for shipping (they'll be heavy, but media mail is cheap), and they're yours.

Mudcats - You're killin' me. Over the holidays, I just purged a significant amount of 1980's Baseball Card Magazines and Baseball Hobby News. I only kept a handful that were interesting and/or had inserts that are in need of a new home. What type of articles are you looking for?

DANG, that sounds exactly like what i'm lookin for.

I found a few old BBCM's (the kind that have the repro-fake cards as inserts) and the articles in them are priceless. Stuff like Watch out for Mike Mussina, he'll hope to get a spot in the rotation behind Stud Ben McDonald, or Investment advice such as, BUY Store Exclusive sets from Topps and Fleer, they're rare and a can't miss investment.

I think i could put an interesting story together by comparing and contrasting the hobby yesterday and today.

I've got some ammo now, but figured it was worth checking if someone has a mother load like the one you just threw away :(

I do appreciate the post, sorry i didn't figure this out last month!!!!!

My dad has a ton of magazines from the 60's-80's

Im not sure if he wants them or not but ill ask.

If they're just taking up space and he doesn't want them that sounds awesome. If they're a treasured collection of his, don't even bother asking. I've been buyingn these for like fifty cents each, so i don't want to upset a collector.

Thanks in advance man!

I'm working on a checklist to see what i already have so i don't duplicate too many. I'll get back to you with my list or you can let me know what you have.

THANK YOU for the offer!

I have a number of years, though I like you like going back and looking at the history of the hobby. The older magazines had loads of great info. I wish I could say the same for the newer ones, but the hot lists are rarely accurate (they are not even accurate but outdated, they are simply inaccurate.) The articles are often misleading and untrue, and there aren't too many of them.

Mud-Have you ever considered trying to do an e-magazine? I've thought about it and know I can't do it alone, but would like to give it a shot.

I would help write articles for it!

PM your address to me. I have a box I was going to put in the recycling bin, they've actually been sitting in my basement for four weeks, but was too lazy to carry them upstairs to the curb :)

I have some BBC magazines and many Beckett's. I would much rather find someone that wants them rather than throw them out, plus my wife will be thrilled to get rid of some more of my "STUFF".
