I recently bought this Clark Collect-A-Book and the seller claims that's it's a test issue. It is different from the officially released ones. It uses different pictures and graphics, but the wording through out is pretty much the same. Anyone have an info on a test set of these, the same seller had a Mattingly as well. Thanks, Ron.

There was a test issue of that set and a small handful for each player were printed. Who did you buy it from? Price?

The rumor is 3 copies... but I find that somewhat hard to believe.

I forget the seller now, it was a dealer on E-Bay. It's well made, I doubt they'd only do three mock-ups. Nice piece though.

Well, since 1998 on Ebay and from asking around to a few dozen other player collectors... I've only seen 2 (I own them both) ever...

Thanks for the info. The sellers name is Tarashelly on E-Bay, seems they got the proof form a guy who worked for the company that produced Collect-A-Books.
