Going to the Defenders game tomorrow against New Britain now that they got promoted and I was really hoping to be able to score a couple autos. Between those two and Crawford I'd like to be able to get at least 1.

Just wondering if anyone had any experiences with them while they were playing on San Jose. Might try to get some autos from a few Rock Cats players but outside of Ramos and Valencia, nobody really entices me. I was kind of hoping they would rush Revere and he would be in AA already but no luck.

Yeah I got them while in the cal league. Both are super cool super nice guys. I'd say Bumgarner is a bit more chatty and typically limits the amount he signs for people (seen him sign 1-3, but also seen him sign 8 at once just depends on the situation.) Alderson is also very nice but a bit more quiet, he will sign most of what is put in front of him. Bumgarner also writes a bible verse under his signature when you get him in person.

Both Bumgarner and Alderson are very easy and will sign multiples. I've heard of them signing 10+ per person with no qualms about it.

Now Posey on the other hand..

Bumgarner was really nice for me last year in Lakewood. He signed 25 for one guy and when he was done I joked with Bum saying "I only need one Madison." He replied thank god and the other guy heard him lol. I have never met Alderson, but I will when CT plays Trenton in June.

What deal on Posey?

He's just more difficult than the others and usually cops an attitude. He still signs, but isn't nearly as accommodating and will probably do one per.

When is Bumgarner's AA debut?

If I'm not mistaken he starts tomorrow. From what I've read Alderson and Bumgarner were called up to start Sunday and Monday and Alderson went today so its only logical to think Bum goes tomorrow.

Glad to hear that both of them seem like willing signers. With any luck I'll come home tomorrow with some nice autos to show off.

Yes Bumgarner makes his Double A debut tomorrow. I'll be attending as well.

Alderson pitched a gem his first start. I saw a few cards sell above average after that.

Eh, I don't think there'd anything wrong on limiting to 1 per if you have a huge crowd of people. I fully respect that!

Bum - no bible versus on my autos from San Jose FanFest. He signed full name on sweet spots and "MB" on team ball.

T&A - A little more quiet, but very nice.

These 2 signed whatever was given to them.

Posey signed a bunch for me with no complaints. He was very friendly and I chatted with him a lot. Only Conor Gillaspie was more talkative with me. Just depends.

Bumgarner is a true type A personality. He has never met a stranger.

Nice, i'll have a good chat with them at the end of May and early June. How's this for a lineup. Wieters, Tillman tommorow, Bumgarner, Alderson late May early June, and Hanson at the end of May if he's still in the minors.

Well just got back from the game. Bum threw ok, got himself into a couple jams but actually got himself out of them by making some nice defensive plays. The K's weren't there but still 1 run in 6 innings isn't anything to scoff at. His fastball sat at anywhere from 89-92 the whole game. Hopefully when it gets warmer out it gets back up into the upper 90's.

Before the game started myself and a couple friends were able to get Alderson to sign. We were just watching them warm up talking about him and a photographer came up and said he thought he saw him on the phone outside the stadium. Waited for him to get off and then called him over and he quite nice and willing. A couple other guys signed before the game but I'm not sure who they were, I think Crawford signed a couple. After the game Alderson came out and signed again for the 5 or so people waiting for him. We waited outside the stadium with maybe 12-15 other people for Bumgarner after the game. He finally came out and was more than willing to sign for everyone there. He wasn't very talkative but he was very polite. I got a baseball signed on the sweet spot, a MB with a little more then the bible verse 1:9. Hopefully the next time we go see him I'm going to try to get him to sign the ticket stub with the hopes of him adding first AA win.

Successful night, got the two guys I wanted and was pretty impressed with how both of them carried themselves.
