Toothpaste (seriously) is your friend. Buffs those roller marks/surface scratches right out.

Really? It’s always worked for me. Some people have luck w/just rubbing their thumb in circles on the scratches (if they’re light/minor). Takes awhile, but sometimes works. Others use wd40 wipes, but that’s never really worked for me…yes, I’ve tried way too many substances on chromes haha

I think I just can't get the right amount of tooth paste on the card. I always leave a residue that doesn't want to come off. What paste do you use, that may halp ;) .

I'd try it on some of my base chromes, but only the autos were scratched. :x

Usually crest. Not the kind w/baking soda or breath strips as that doesn’t work as well. Just take a dab (like the size of your pinky finger tip), gently rub it, take a non-scratch cloth w/some water on it to rub the ‘minty fresh’ off, + you should be good to go. Obviously, try it on some junk chromes first rather than say a red ref/superfractor lol

I typically put a little ammonia free windex on a cotton cloth and gently clean the surface of my chrome cards, sans the auto area, before submitting for grading.

some of these roller marks just are not gonna come out. It is what it is. No toothpaste on earth could get them out.

I've got to admit, I just tried the crest toothpaste on a couple autos I'm looking to sub and it really made a difference. The roller marks didn't come out all the way, but it made a huge difference. I'm just having a hard time getting the residue off the card around the corners since you can't necessarily put an adequate amount of pressure there. I may just use a WD40 wipe to get the past off around there.

I throw mine in the dishwasher personally.

Don't forget the jetdry.
