Well, no it doesnt go that high...well it did, but it shouldnt have. Lost out on it because i wasnt willing to pay the nearly 50% more than normal price, but apparently someone else was. Oh well, just have to wait another 4-5 years to see one for sale again! (or maybe this would make someone else sell sooner?)

But wouldnt they want something close to that $700 tag?

Are they usually around $500?

Yes, now they will be at that price and i will be forced to pay that...but the previous high was right around 500, with an average of 350 (ive tracked all sales of all cards in this set). Problem was, i couldnt justify the 700 she countered me knowing all previous sales and the fact that the ripken 1/1 from the set went for 1k and this one is /10. But this set seems to continue to go up, just hope i can finish it, as im so close.

Its to bad that you missed out on the Ryan!

I am glad that I only have one the Yogi Berra 1/1. There is another one of them, but I am happy with my one!

Thats a nice platinum! There was just a platinum numbers on ebay that i think went in the 200's. Is that a sticker or on card? Looks like a sticker, which is weird because thats yet another 1/1 from an on-card auto set with a sticker...

Glad the platinum is on card, thats the way they should all be done!

For some reason, the athletes didnt all sign what the "inscription" at the top said...and some just signed that and not their names (ie carter, the kid, and ozzie, the wizard). I never understood what would make those two guys think that all that was wanted signed was their nicknames and not their auto too.

Ever thought about trying to get them at a show or IP. The Carter my be to late (hopefully not) but Ozzie would be great.

thought about it but wondered if i should since all the cads are not that way? Would it be worth it? Also too, i could use the same color pen, but would it be the same? I dont know which pen it is so it might come out weird. With the latest carter going for 200 without his name, im not too sure it would add enough to the value....
