Terry, I would like to ask you this:

How come you have an identical card for auction as I do, I have one bid of $.99 running the auction for 7 days. You have your identical item on a 10 day auction with 8 days left and your item has been bid up to $44?

This was an instance that occurred this week.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BUBBA-STARLING-MINT-BOWMAN-CHROME-ROOKIE-AUTO-RC-2011-ON-CARD-AUTOGRAPH-ROYALS-/290702292761?pt=US_Baseball&hash=item43af34f719

Edit: My auction for the same identical card is bid up to $19 with just over a day left, while yours has 5 days left.
This...

I'm exhausted reading his posts and dealing with this fool. It's clear what is happening and as someone has said before, you can mask shilling well and this is obviously what is happening. Defend all you want but when it looks like a shill and smells like a shill, it isn't a dedicated buyer of ONLY your auctions to the length of 1,300 auctions of YOURS ONLY in the last 30 days!!!! Sorry but let's just call facts.... Enjoy your "job" listing more cards than anyone else or whatever you said in reply to the above.

Also, this Belle sold on eBay not too long ago for $138 (still in completed listings) and I BET you shill it higher to make your profit. Just so everyone knows, I just won the other 1/1 in the white sox jersey for $97 and I think all your "personal bidders" would of jumped on that auction? No? Only bid on your auctions? Also only had 14 bids in 7 days.... Your auction has 14 now with 5+ days left lol!

As Jim Rome would say, "Now I'm done... Rack me"

Another accusation that is just not true. Our ebay ID was never used to shill bid any item on any name. We did purchase some items from Wolverine24 when the name was active as we buy stuff from everyone on ebay. We buy thousands of items and spend hundreds of thousands on ebay per year, so our name is bound to show up for bidding history on everyone. As far as the same items being sold, well like I said we have purchased a lot of items from him especially since he no longer has an ebay name. BTW, we no longer use the selling ID bigboydsportscards, we moved all our selling over to our main ID bigboydsporscards3 over a year ago. The bigboydsportscards ID was used to sell items we had lots of quantity of so we could easily re-list items and we also sold some consignment items under that name. We concluded it was better to just use one ebay ID and we stopped consignments so we now only use the one ebay ID for selling.

I am not accusing you of anything. Just simply stating the experience and what others have noticed similar to what has been said today and showing it was also resonating even back to 2010. You may not be shilling your own auctions or know who is, but sadly the famous quote "perception is reality" will dominate what sellers think of buyers when spending their own money.

We didn't buy this item on ebay. Card was bought at a show and did not check completed listings before we bought it, so actually had no idea item was sold previously on ebay. Looks like it was sold as a best offer, not an auction. As I stated previously, if we were shill bidding items do you really think that we would have a bid activity of 97%, really? Have you contacted SwagCards and asked him about this? I don't know how the guy's mind works. I really don't appreciate the lack of respect and being called a fool. If you think high bid activity online equals shilling then you are obviously the fool.. If you want to discuss this, feel free to give me a call. I will provide you with any possible information including copies of any payments to prove this guy is not shill bidding items. Or you can just keep calling me a fool based on assumptions..

The problem is perception of high bid activity = shill bidding in so many people's mind. That perception is not reality.

The shill bidding may not be the reality, unfortunately again...the perception of high bid activity is what is driving your buyers thoughts. Since you state there is no shill bidding going on then another unfortunate reality is that you have no control over anybody's perception.

Terry - Its not the 97% but 1,300 auctions of YOURS ALONE in the last 30 days that really jumps put at me. Why didn't he win it originally? Why didn't he bid at all on the other 1/1 I just won of the exact same card just different jersey? It would of been cheap given his bidding patterns now.

And you're a grown ass man (Im assuming), so don't grab ahold of my "fool" comment like a child. You see there is an army of people who feel strongly about this... On multiple sites and dating back years!

Have you looked to see what this guy sells on COMC. He sells anything and everything. I'm guessing he's not looking for an Albert Belle card in particular. He obviously likes doing business with us, so he sees that we are selling it and bids on it. He's currently not even the high bidder. Maybe he uses a different ID to bid on other's people stuff, I don't know. Like I said, why don't you email him and ask him. I don't really care about his intentions. He's a good customer that pays for everything he wins, that's good enough for me. Yes, I'm a "grown ass man" that guaranteed on my children that no shill bidding is going on. If that doesn't change your opinion then again you are a fool..

Look at the second high bidder of this auction, 320891698632. That is one of our bidding IDs, bigboydsportscards2. It is used solely to bid on memorabilia items. We have almost a 50% bid history (approx 350 items from this seller the last 30 days) with this user who only sells about 700 items per month. So we are placing bids on about half of the total auctions this seller runs (we only bid once on each item). Does that mean we are shill bidding items? No we are not, we are buying a lot of items from this seller. As for swagcards, he has placed 1300 bids you say in the last 30 days. I believe he sometimes bids multiple times on an item, I could be wrong but I believe so. That means he bids on less than 1300 items in a month. We sell approx 10,000 items per month so he bids on approx 10% of our items, much less than the 50% we bid on another user's items. Also, if you are curious he has won 253 items from us in the last 30 days, so about 20% of his bids are successful. And most importantly, he pays for everything he wins. I see him selling many items he bought from us on COMC.

All those excuses and I personally know someone offered to get in on this bidding/shilling ring a year or 2 ago. You bid on their items (with one of the bunch of new ids you guys made) and in return they do the same its quite simple. Hows Wolverine doing these days? Still ripping people off? What ID are they using now?

I'll state the facts and I'll let others draw conclusions...

Last 30 day summary:
1,377 bids
1,343 auctions
96% with YOU

Again, funny this guy bid $122 like a day into your 10 day auction for this card and again this is more than the other 1/1 of Belle from this exact set (just different jersey) sold for days ago, so if he really wanted that one, he would of won it for $97 lol. Trust me I watch all Belle auctions and know bidding patterns and this is NOT NORMAL.

Really? Please provide more info of this person you personally know. I have never had a conversation with anyone about doing what you are saying. You are either lying or you were lied to. Here is a list of every ebay ID I have.. bigboydsportscards3, bigboydsportscards, bigboydsportscards2, bigboydsportscards4, bigboydsportscards5, bigboydsportscards6, bigboydsportscards7, upfrontseats (my ticket business). That's the ebay IDs I have available to use, most of them are not currently being used for anything.

You have a very closed mind and obviously don't gather information and do research before making assumptions. I've given you plenty of facts to all the information you said above, I assume you have just ignored them all. I don't think swagcards cares at all about Albert Belle.. BTW, I would have paid more than $97 for the other Belle 1/1.. Never saw it. I don't have time to bid as much as I used to on items. I'll state it one more time, if you feel bid activity = shill bidding, then you = fool. It's a basic equation. I would love to discuss this on the phone with you and have an honest civil conversation, feel free to call me. BTW, there is a millions time better chance that Albert Belle took steroids than of us ever shill bidding an item.
