I think Sproles is a beast. With LT out this weekend he should put up some pretty good number. Ravens defense didn't look all that last weekend. Anyone snag him off the waiver wire? I benched Ryan Grant and moved Sproles into his spot.

I've got sproles, but may trade him for a better te. I think Marion Barber and Steven Jackson are both better than him.

The Chiefs had a whopping 30 yards total rushing. The Ravens run defense never went anywhere. (Obviously)

Might want to research the scoring from that game. Sproles will be a reach at best.

NFL live seem to think Sproles would have a big game. He had a good game splitting time with LT last Monday. Should be interesting.

I have him and thought about it but I'm gonna stick with Steven Jackson and McFadden rather than Sproles against Baltimore.

Sproles is a step up from Larry Johnson imo.

I just never really bought into the whole LJ craze. He's a decent enough guy, but gets a little too much praise. Yes he had a few good seasons, but then again so did guys like Travis Henry.

I'm also a little pro-Sproles.

So maybe my 2¢ doesn't count.

Totally agreed. Sproles is better than LJ right now. But unless your name is Adrian Peterson, it doesn't matter who you are running against Bmore.

I disagree, & I own Baltimore Def in almost all 8 of my league's (& have been a HUGE Baltimore Defense fan since before they won the SB). I've noticed that they are beginning to slow with age (some of thier top defensive player's have been on the decline- Ray Lewis & Ed Reed) & they lost thier defensive coordinator/defense guru (Rex Ryan) in the off-season when he left to take the coaching job for the NY Jets. They also lost two other defensive starter's in the offseason: LB Bart Scott & Safety Jim Leonhard. IMO the Chargers offense (even without LDT) is ALOT more potent than that of the KC Chiefs & Baltimore will not be able to simply focus on stopping the run as they did last week vs. Larry Johnson & company (if they got this route versus P.Rivers, they will get thier arse's "branded"...& promptly). Sproles may not reach the century mark in rushing yards alone but he is almost a shoe-in for 100 total yard's (as he is a great receiver out of the backfield also) & I look for him to notch 1-2 score's...In fantasy sport's, that will be a damn good day (100+ yards rushing isn't always necessary).

Oh & I am aware of the fact that the Ravens have gone 36 games without allowing a 100-yard rusher, but as I wrote above I'm really not expecting Sproles to hit 100 yds rushing (& I also think that mark will be broken this year, as the Ravens are NOT what they used to be- though I agree they ARE still a viable & quality defense, they just are no longer the Ravens "Super-Squad" that they once were... no matter how much I wish they were!). :D

It's all about keeping the defense fresh. Flacco is delivering, Chiefs or not. Look at what the Raiders were just able to do the Chargers.. The Ravens secondary hasn't been too hot. The Chargers will be going to the air and checking down alot. And btw, Ed Reed on the decline? Are you serious? Maybe Lewis.

I picked up Sproles.....for NEXT week in case LT is out again. If you start him this week vs Balt. Def. you're just looking to be disappointed.

Yea, I just don't think the Raven's are the shut em down defense they use to be. I could be wrong. Just got a gut feeling.

PS: I own the Raven's defense. They are on my bench this weekend.

Great post. Along the same lines I was thinking. I own the Raven's D in my league and they weren't very impressive the first week. I think Sproles could have an all around good day. Like you said. Even if he doesn't hit the 100 yard mark rushing.

I agree with the logic that Sproles may indeed have a tough game against the Baltimore run D....but I still think he's probably worth a play because of his receiving skills and big play potential.

He may only get 30-40 yds. rushing.....but I wouldn't be surprised if he has 70-80 receiving (esp. if the Chargers get down) and find a TD somewhere in there which would make for a nice day.

Looks like you were right on, a few more receiving yards AND a TD.

Sproles can do so much, I had LT in my league and fortunately handcuffed him with Sproles so I did well yesterday.
