Do you think they'll keep him the way he is (Throwing both right and left handed) or is he more dominant with a certain arm? Has anyone seen him pitch? Just pulled his chrome auto and was intrigued after reading the back lol.

Yea, I saw him pitch a few times for Creighton.

His glove allows him to pitch with both arms, so he just switches around to face different batters.

If I remember correctly, he has more velocity with the right arm, but better control with the left. Could definitely be wrong though.

YOU KNOW
to unlock this door with a key of imagination, beyond it is another dimension. a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight. a dimension of mind. youre moving into a land of both shadow and substance, where darocker actually posts about a pitcher not named tim lincecum. you just crossed over into....

I actually pitch and throw a football with both hands. When one arm would wear out in Little League, we'd call a time out and I'd switch gloves. It's also nice in football (though I never played organized, just backyard tackle) because I can dump the ball with either arm with accuracy when I'm being chased behind the line.

So what happens when he faces a switch hitter?

If I remember correctly this incident occured and was mentioned here on the forums. I think they made the pitcher choose first.

I wonder if it takes him double the time to warm-up in the bullpen because he needs to pitch with both arms?

Got to see him pitch down in Spring Training this year. The Yankees would be foolish if they made him stick with one side. He has two different arm angles and different pitches/velocity from either side. He is one of the most humble players that i have ever met. he took the time to talk with my Dad and I and seemed very excited about all the opportunities that he has. Very cool guy, and i hope he does great in the big leagues!!!!

Venditte Rules:
o The pitcher must visually indicate to the umpire, batter and runner(s) which way he will begin pitching to the batter. Engaging the rubber with the glove on a particular hand is considered a definitive commitment to which arm he will throw with. The batter will then choose which side of the plate he will bat from.
o The pitcher must throw one pitch to the batter before any "switch" by either player is allowed.
o After one pitch is thrown, the pitcher and batter may each change positions one time per at-bat. For example, if the pitcher changes from right-handed to left-handed and the batter then changes batter's boxes, each player must remain that way for the duration of that at-bat (unless the offensive team substitutes a pinch hitter, and then each player may again "switch" one time).
o Any switch (by either the pitcher or the batter) must be clearly indicated to the umpire.
o There will be no warm-up pitches during the change of arms.
o If an injury occurs the pitcher may change arms but not use that arm again during the remainder of the game.

I think he is definitely a special pitcher, but seeing as how his base Chrome Au has gone from $35 to $12 in a few days he will have a window when he gets called up that his stuff will go crazy and then dip way down after the "new" of the whole concept wears off. I would buy in now and sell the day of his MLB debut.
