Tonight I'm watching 1943 Series highlights- Cardindals/Yankees

Over the last week or so I have seen the '44 Series- Browns/Cardinals and '46 Series- Cardinals/Red Sox.

I love this Network and I love these shows!! Very good clips if you ask me. I could watch one of these highlight shows every night. Musial, Williams, Joe Gordon (one of the newest HOFers), Billy Southworth, Joe McCarthy, Bill Dickey!! Wow!!!

One quirk, notice how the fans usually exit the stadiums on the field. :o

Wish I could watch it...but Comcast says MLB Network won't be available in my area until June! Atleast that's what they told me today. Yesterday it was available 3 weeks ago. All I know is I have the sports package and still get no channel 280. =(

I have seen a few of them, and i love when they have ken burns on during the "commercials" . I just love this channel. Being a huge baseball fan above all other sports, this is my heaven. :D I also like the Prime 9 shows too. Oh and good to see Harold Reynolds back doing his thing. Hazel Mae is not too shabby either.

Prime 9 shows are pretty good quality shows! They aren't in HD though are they? I only know of channel 86 for Verizion Fios, but wondered if they had an HD version.

I love watching those as well. Game seems so pure in black and white. Anyone know if the network has plans to air the old home run derbies? I'd love to see some vintage TWIB reruns as well and I can't wait till they get to some playoff/series games that are a little older than the more recent ones they've been showing. I agree Prime 9 is good too. I actually am one of the few that seems to like Matt Vasgershiawhatever (He used to do Brewers TV) and of course The Sac Man Dan Plesac! and Leiter. It just gets better so I hope the trend continues. Didn't realize how much I enjoyed it until now being stuck in a hotel for a few days without it :(

Larsen's perfect game from the '56 WS is what got me hooked on the station. I could (and have :)) watch the old games over and over.

Yes, I find that I have watched many of their shows over-and-over-and-over.......cannot get enough, especially the Red Sox W/S highlights from '04 and '07. :D

...very sorry.

I about fell out of my chair when I saw the first of these shows, which was the '44 Series- Browns/Cardinals. Stan the Man's 2nd year I believe. They did not advertise the show, it just came on as "filler" I think. I tune in every night now just to see what might come on....

Do you have any other satelite or cable options??

It was great to see except for the ending......

Had completely forgotten that in 1948 the Red Sox lost to the Indians in a one game playoff to decide pennant. Had Sox won, it would have been an all Boston World Series.

48 Series has some great names-

Indians- Feller, Lemon, Joe Gordon, player/manager Lou Boudreau, Satchel Paige pitched in one game
Braves- Spahn and Sain, mgr. Billy Southworth

This AM awoke to the 66 World Series (Orioles/Dodgers)- the year of my birth!!! Valentine's Day and I am watching baseball!!

I say to my wife, "guess what I am watching" and she says, "I don't know, the 1983 World Series?" She was close and knows me too well.

BTW- the O's left side of the infield- Luis Aparicio and Brooks Robinson  Had forgotten Luis played for them at this time.

O' swept Series against Drysdale and Koufax!!

I love this channel!!
