Like most people(according to Lebitch), I'm just glad that the Heat didn't win. This shows that winning is a team effort and not a 3 man effort. Glad this blew up in Lebitch, Wade, & Bosh's faces. I hope he has a breakdown from all the criticism that he has coming his way for the next few months.

I wasn't home when this was posted, but I watched the game live at an English pub in Nuremberg, Germany.

20 minutes away from Dirk's hometown, Wurzburg.

Which means I watched it from 2 am til 5 am. Drinking whiskey the whole game, with three other VERY big Mavericks fans at the bar (one was a bartender, one was his brother and the other my friend). It was pretty awesome watching the game with some expats, a bunch of Germans cheering Dirk on and my my buddy, who is a lifelong Mavericks fan like myself.

Afterwards, when the game was over, three of us (sans the bartender) ran around the little neighborhood in our birthday suits.

It just seemed like that was the ONLY way to react to the Mavericks winning. Didn't seem like any other celebration would suffice.

And in Lebitch's postgame interview he still comes off as a smug *****. I guess we'll still wake up everyday and go on with our miserable lives.

Got home late from a hospital visit and just saw the postgame comments. Wow. Bron Bron shouldn't be happy but way to rip the fans. BTW, I woke up with as many rings as he has this morning. Can we stop with the comparisons to Jordan?

Clearly it's because "god" wasn't ready to crown a new king.

Good for the rest of us, the apocalypse can wait.

I'm glad the Mavs won, but I think the Heat need to practice free throws over the summer.

I'm apparently the LeBron apologist on the board, but I don't think the people he was ripping were "fans." People are taking more pleasure in him losing than the success of the team that won, and he called it. They can do what they want, and everyone has the right to hate whoever they want. At the end of the day, what he said is exactly right. People are going to rip him for it, but the same people would have ripped him if he just came out and said how great the Mavericks were.

How much of this has he brought on himself? Heard on ESPN that where the jersey size is on the neckline his says "King size". That in itself is laughable.

Thats his nickname so yeah...

I find it funny how LeBron fakes a cough and gets attacked by the media but Jason Terry throws up gang signs(and yells "im a real crip") during the game and he gets off free.

He's brought about 95% on himself, but the level of hate was far greater than it should have been or was unevenly distributed. Why is no one flipping out over Wade? He was just as much a part of the three of them joining forces in Miami, if not more because he got them to come to his team. Why was all the blame on Lebron for the decision? I'm sure ESPN and Lebron's "advisers" came to him and told him about this great plan that people will be interested in, will get amazing ratings and they'll donate a significant amount of money to kids. Yea, he screwed up and should have said no, but with ESPN and his people telling him it was a good idea he went along with it. Then there is the whole thing with mocking dirk. Looked to me like Wade started it.

He's made some poor decisions, and going to Miami was not one of them. "The Decision" and the rally were mistakes, but I'm sure most people in his situation would do the exact same thing. Imagine growing up where everyone was just telling you how great you are and everything you do is well received. It gives you an altered sense of reality, but I don't know that he's really to blame for that. So while I cringe just like everyone else at some of the things he does, I don't have that special spot in my heart that's only filled by hating him.

It's funny because everything I see from Kobe Bryant says he's much more of a smug ******* than Lebron. Publicly demeaning teammates on and off the court, slurs against homosexuals, rape/adultery.... Yet, he wins some rings so we ignore it. MJ was also an ass, but we all love him. If MJ played today with the same kind of media scrutiny and in your face ad campaigns that Lebron deals with, we'd all hate him.
