I think being a baseball pitched to David Wright is worse right now.

Now here is a good point, David Wright, setting the NL on fire !!! .362, top of the league. Here's to David for staying strong and powering out of his slump. I feel he is just getting started. Would be nice to see a .400 season...lol....but I will be happy if the Mets can find some players right now.

All in all, they are missing some key players in the lineup. Delgado and Reyes are a huge hit to the team.

Mets need to dump Sheffield, it was ok for a while, but he can not be an everyday player, his eye for picking up the ball is gone. He stands there wagging his bat, and the ball comes right down the pipe and he looks back to the Ump to suggest ....How was that a strike ? Better question is how was it not !

Now with Maine out, and Perez as well, they are getting into a bad spot early. Hopefully they will be back to 100% in August and Septemeber then things have gone bad in the past.

I can't stand Philly fans that bring up choking and crap. Remember, your franchise does have to most losses by a single franchise of all-time. Nothing to brag about or anything...

Remember, the Phillies have been around for 125 year! A lot of those years, they were expected to be last place. Sure, if you're one of the oldest continuous teams in baseball you will have a lot more losses than everyone else. Choking, in fact, has to do with not being able to take the heat in pressure situations. 7 up with 17 to go, then losing, is a choke. A big choke. The Phillies have always performed well under pressure. Stop bringing up that 10,000 loss thing. It has nothing to do with choking and only has to do with longevity.

From April to Sept 1st there are a lot of things worse. From Sept 2nd to Oct 1st no, there is nothing worse.

I must take my original post back. After tonight they're not even waiting until Sept. to disappoint their fans.

That's who I was referring to. It would be hilarious if one of them turns out to be a bust and they have 50+Mil committed to them. SI cover curse anyone?

Well thats how Tampa started with nothing sucked it up a few years and added
good talent you have to start somewhere if they get stras signed and add
Harper plus other solid draft picks they will turn around
