Thought I'd share my random story of the day, I apologize it is not all that exciting - if anything it just shows what a nerd I am, or even more-so a football nerd that this made me so excited lol.
So I live in Chicago and this afternoon my gf and I were on the bus going to Navy Pier. At this point we were downtown on Michigan Ave. I was in a seat right by the door and out of the corner of my eye I saw an old man get up and move toward the door....I thought, "that looks like Marv Levy". He then was blocked by a guy in front of me and I just figured it's just some old guy, cause why would he be here and riding on the bus.
So anyway I'm trying to peak around the guy in front of me and my GF is looking at me like "what the hell are you doing". I then hear the guy in front of me say something about "4 straight championships is still impressive". Then I hear the old guy respond and it's Levy's voice. I caught a few more looks but the guy was still pretty much blocking melol. As he leaves the bus the guy he was talking to held the door and said "here you are coach".
Sorry for the long read- like I said, not too exciting.....but I thought it was pretty odd and random and at least exciting to me (Don;t see hof's everyday), so I figured I'd share. Wish that guy wasn't in front of me, so I would have been sure in time, then maybe I could have said something to him.
Something along the lines of "I say this with the utmost respect Mr. Levy - you broke my heart all through my childhood." And then just point to my Dolphins winter hat that I had on.
