Do you think Boston can hold onto their lead over TB.

I think they can.

All I know is I would rather face the Rangers than the Angels in the playoffs.

Geez, Lester threw 111 pitches in FOUR innings. That's almost 30 an inning!

I think I mentioned this was going to happen a couple weeks ago in a thread..........and all it got was ridicule. They have a winning record against both BOS and NY and are the only team in baseball that would have a chance of beating the Phillies in the World Series, because they are the only team that could put up decent pitching matchups against them.

What a difference 12 days make.

Aug 30th Red Sox had .5 Game lead on the Yankees and 9 Game lead on the Rays

Sept 11th Red Sox now trail the Yankees by 3.5 Games and only hold a 3.5 Game lead on the Rays for the Wild Card.

I think the sawx will be fine. They're a little beat up , like the Yankees, but will be fine.

Nope but is does look like the Brewers maybe getting tired. They were ahead of the Cards about 9 games and that was with a
4 game winning streak but now they are only 6 ahead just ended a 5 game losing. they have 14 games left of the season too.
The Red birds have 16 games left but the magic number of elimination is @ 10
