Every year Allen & Ginter includes non-sport cards in the set, everything from historical figures, to landmarks.

My question to you is, are you interested in these cards? Do you buy them as singles? Is it purely for set collecting?

A few I noticed so far this year.

I have no interest in them what so ever.On the other hand they are my biggest sellers every year.I pulled the Dog Paw Print a few years ago and the Big Foot Tire Auto in 2008.The Paw Print went for $550 and the Bigfoot went for $100.By the way the Bigfoot you linked is from 08.

yep, I am interested when I need a few cards to fill out an order. I've purchased base singles of landmarks, scientists and inventors out of past A&G issues.

I am probably in the minority on this one, but the non-sport Ginters are my favorite in the whole set.

I don't have much of a PC collection, but the Tony Hawk auto will definitely go in mine.

That is one non-baseball card that does interest me.

I use them as enrichment activities in my classroom.

Very interesting and a very good application. Honestly, one of the bigger reasons some of them do interest me is because of my general interest in history.

I'm amazed at what the dog paw print card sold for, wow!

I enjoy some of them.

Particularly, the Hoaxes and Creatures sets were nice last year.

I really enjoy the non-sports Ginters and am getting a few boxes this year. The thing people have to realize is that while Topps is selling Ginter as a baseball product, they're still being true to the original by including many non-baseball related cards as the original Ginter had world flags, birds, etc.

I agree.

It doesn't hurt that they truly have an endless array of possibilities for insertion into the set too.

One group that I haven't seen many of, that could do really well I think is musicians.

Beat me to it and probably a major reason the set is very popular.

Education is not a "one-size, fits-all" proposition. I don't believe in lowering standards, but varying delivery methods can always help some students.

My favorite part of the set and reason I collect them.

Inspired me to purchase vintage copies too.

I love the non baseball stuff in A&G. I'm slowly working on the Creatures of Legend, Myth and Terror set. I also gave my A&P professor one of the Darwin cards since he is a big fan of his work. He loved it.
