It's crazy to think they get so little to play a game. How much does it even cost to run a team? FCB Team?

 Miami's just one step up on other universities in helping players transition to the NFL by offering a semi-pro football program.

$400 is decent cash. These guys have day jobs.

Do you think they just play the game and that's it? There are no other responsibilities involved?

No, I'm sure practice is involved. Just speaking from personal experience. I was solicited to play for an Arena League team back in January of 2004 while I was still in college (Ball State). I told them that I couldn't because I was finishing my senior year of college and that I couldn't drive back and forth for practices. Their response was that they practiced twice a week.

In the end they probably make ~20 bucks an hour, all things considered. Don't get me wrong it better than nothing.

And I'm certain it helps them get more **** than a gynecologist.

I just couldn't handle getting fired in, much less eating at a Olive Garden. That's the hard part.

LOL Arena guys were able to make much more prior to their lockout in 2009 I believe. Top stars (QBs and WRs) regularly made 6 figures.
