Tonight after Aroldis Campman struck out Martin Maldonado for the save he did 2 somersaults to home plate. For those who didn't see it the video can be see here:

I was talking to a Brewers fan he said it was "bush league" and if he was Ron Roenicke he would hit Joey Votto tomorrow. I personally think that is a little much and Campman was just having a little fun after some rough outings. I also said it was no different then this:

but of course it was because this involved the entire team and not just one player. Anyway what do you guys think? Was the double somersault celebration fun or bush league?

Met's fans hate Nick Swisher because he smiles.

I wonder how much they hate Chapman.

I have a bias of course, but I don't see how it was any different than something like Ozzie Smith doing backflips. Chapman was just having fun.

Dude was happy. I'd like to see more of it. Emotion got him and did what felt good. I doubt he planned something that looks like my three year old falling down a hill.

Considering the Nyjer Morgan does that stupid Beast Mode thing every time he gets on base and I saw Carlos Gomez pose every time he hit a fly ball last weekend at the game in Chicago I don't think they have any room to complain about celebrations.

I think he was just being playful and silly almost making fun of himself for blowing his last 2 saves.

i see nothing wrong with it. If you think that's bush league, you better say Brian Wilson's thing after a save is bush league, also.

I just see it as potentially his new save trademark. I bet the Reds have told him to knock it off so he doesn't DL himself one day getting hurt somersaulting.

Meh, I'll go with Bush League. He's he player that had the least to do with their winning, got fairly close to blowing it anyways and is going out there showing off. There are other ways of having fun and showing emotion, but honestly could anything be less of a spontaneous outburst than rolling down the mound?

I will never fault athletes for actually looking like they're having fun.

But I hear Dusty Baker doesn't like it? Is it because he's concerned about the health of his pitcher? Would that be a first for him?

Remember when Joba doing one fist pump was a 10 page topic of people saying that it as bush league? Odd how a fist pump is reason to be beheaded but a freaking guy flipping makes another player an ambassador to the game.

I thought it was kind of childish and silly but I didn't get worked up at all. I just said to myself what the hell is he doing?

I am on the fence because you can make cases for both arguments. It is bush league because Chapman has been pitching poorly and I feel that he has no right to be doing that. It was also funny because the forward flips have never been done before. I believe that Jose Valverde is the most bush league pitcher in the game and it is a miracle how he hasn't been jumped yet after a game.

It was ABSOLUTELY different then Fielders' human grenade. One was a routine save, one was a walk off bomb to win the game.

I'm fine with it though. But if he were to do this again he needs to get some retaliation.

Amazing what a uniform will do to an opinion.
