Arroyo to Yankees

Rumor is Bronson Arroyo is going to the Yankees. Detaisl havent been hammered out yet but apprently theyre not giving up much. I personally htink its a stupid trade but for your 5th starter he cant hurt

Im confused (which happens a lot if you are a reds fan, the org. is turning into a joke). Arroyo is being traded, probably for salary relief, but we are prolly gonna pick up part of the contract (I guess Jocketty had a meeting with the owner today about finances) but about a half hour in an interview the owner stated we are still in the race and are buyers right now, stating the following quote

“If we can get our pitching to show up and get out hitting to show up, we’re still possibly contenders."

God I hate the management of the reds....

You actually think they would call up Wood? Do you not follow the Reds at all? They said Stubbs didnt have enough time in AAA yet, and that was after months, Wood has had one start...Kip Wells will take his spot in the rotation, mark it down

In all fairness, his ERA doesn't tell the whole story. Arroyo had 2 HORRENDOUS starts where the Reds left him in to mop up (5.2 IP, 9 ER and 1.0 IP, 9 ER). Without those two, his ERA goes down to 4.11 which isn't nearly as bad. I think it's a good move for the Yanks, and that's coming from a Mets fan. Add in the revenge factor when he faces the Red Sox and maybe it gets interesting? I know, that's reaching :lol:
