Im only 24 but it makes me feel old to say this...I remember when I collected cards of players older than me, not the other way around LOL.

Man he looks young. LOL I think im going to become an Autumn fan tho before I become an Ashur fan tho lol.

Seriously tho, I wish him the best of luck...come back often and let us know how he's doing!

Darius Miles was the guy that made me feel this way....

In all fairness he legitimately looked 12 when he came into the league.

He was supposed to be the next KG.

I feel like we could make a TV show out of this....Ashur Tolliver...the Journey....narrated by his hot sister.

Interesting to get a behind the scenes look. Had a good family friend of mine drafted in the NFL in 2005 and the team that picked him up played game after game after game to not pay him. Crappy that teams do that and then pony up to guys taken later and with lesser talent all because they think they have something on you. It all works out in the end and my friend is doing just fine for himself now, but wanted to make sure if he never started a game (which he started 15 his rookie year) and had a quick exit from the league he at least had a nest egg to be comfortable for the rest of his life.

Hey Autumn, we all would like to thank you for sharing some "behind the scenes" info. Thats something you really never hear and very interesting.

To me, the fact you told us you took the photo for the card, that Donruss gave you all some free cards, the candid photos, Ashur's draft day, etc are mega cool.

Heres a funny thing though, Im glad you got a bunch of extras from Donruss because I wont be shocked at all if his cards keep going up because Im thinking theres a bunch of extra fans now because of your posts. Plus the fact that he was supposed to go in the first round is news to me and maybe many others. That can only help his cards.

A few years ago, Yanks Phill Hughes was a member and openly posted about who he was and how he was a big collector. I think a member here even made some high end trades/sales to him.

Thanks again for the behind the scenes look. Sounds like Ashur and the people around him have their heads on straight and are good people. I'll be rooting for him to make it big!

The coolest thing is that you took the picture for his baseball card! I bet that adds a personal touch on things for you! Its not everyday that your photos get published and such. Especially ones coveted and paid for handsomely by collectors.

This is very true! I have so many pictures of Ashur pitching it's ridiculous. I have a camera with me everywhere I go, if you can't tell.

Pretty cool commercial. Seems like a first class organization. Love the field too! Definitely a cause that players and the community can get behind. Do the do this in other states or is the Miracle League in Arkansas the only one?

You know, I am not certain! We are working on putting fields all over Arkansas...but I am not sure if it's a nationwide deal. So my brother is superrrr sick... :( Hope he gets well before hardcore spring training hits!
Sorry to hear that. Let us know if he gets into any ST games!!
