Aside from worthless base cards from the 80s, how many copies of any one card can you claim?

Kind of a spin off of my how many autographs question, I am curious to see if we have any amazing quantity of a single card out there. I am talking the exact same card, not a variety of parallels to the same base card for example.

Feel free to share stories of the 5K box you have full of 1987 Topps Wally Joyner cards or the hoard of 1992 Score Albert Belle cards too, but I am really looking for what might be considered a fairly significant card. Maybe it's an autograph or a GU or maybe a rookie card.

I think for me, it's probably the 71 Topps Steve Garvey rookie card. I have more copies of his 1979 Topps card for example (I must have 300-400 or more of those), but given the value of the rookie card, this has to be my entry.

I have added a few more since I tried to photograph them, but I am still well under 100 copies.

Pictures make for more fun discussions too, if you have any.

I bought a large collection of Dale Murphy cards a couple years ago and out of 2500 cards I ended up with 1500 1989 Topps. 3 500 ct bricks. I would also go with his rookie as my entry as I just surpassed 250 total 1977 Topps.

Forgot how I got them but the 1982 Graig Nettles. Somewhere over the years of trading I would guess maybe 150 copies. I do have 100 count snap tights full of star players from 1987, but everyone else does too.

I probably have 50 or so of a few random Albert Belle cards but nothing special.

Someone post the pic of the tons of certified golds or wait for the Omar Vizquel collector to post all the patch cards he has of a single card.

91 of these, slowly going for 100. Pretty sure 1000 were made.

When Leaf sold the "Player Editions" of 2011 Metal and Valient, I bought all but 3-4 Leaf Michael Levi's.

The others had sold (and of course I don't own the ones that went to Levi himeslf).

I got them around $1 a piece since they were being clearance'd out.

EDIT: Micheal Levi... :benson: I meant Levi Michael.

Up to 21 of the cards in my sig, numbered to 89. There are a handful of other cards that I have 2/3, 13/37, 15/45, etc. As far as rookies, I have hundreds for sure, dunno exactly how many.

Although I don't think it's really that insane compared to some of you guys! The Ripken collector with 6, 8, even TWELVE copies of many cards? My "2nd set" is probably about 800 cards, which is small potatoes compared to lots of you. George's pics of the Golds is ridiculous!
