.....the sports headlines won't be dominated by Brett Farve news. I wonder if he has something up his sleeve to try and trump Manny and get back into the headlines.

Well apparently he told Childress that he would remain retired, but he could always change his mind, not like he hasn't done that before ::facepalm::

Is it just me or are the people here using the palm in the face smiley too much?

If it is just me... ::facepalm::

In a forum dominated by males over 15...the fact that there are smilies is comical enough...however nothing nearly as funny as grown men using a smily in posts.

Hopefully smiley usage comes with a free tiny umbrella for your strawberry daiquiri at Friday's.

Of course, that is what you get when you ride the short bus....you are not riding with the next Einstein who will solve world hunger, you are seated next to the kid who eats his own boogers.

That seems like the best way to sum my time on the FCB.

Funny you mention that...

I put the TV on ESPN HD every night before I go to bed so that I can watch Sportscenter at my leisure when I wake up (by using my DVR and rewinding to the beginning of the show). Yesterday, I had to fast forward through 15 minutes of Brett Favre coverage, to the point that my wife even said "Geez, is that all they talk about?"

Today when I went home for lunch, I watched 20 minutes of Manny Ramirez coverage, and they never moved on from that subject. I switched to "Cheaters" just to watch something else.

I didn't have to listen to Karl Ravech, for starters.

I hate 'smilies'. To be perfectly honest, I skip posts that contain them. They seem to replace someone's ability to simply articulate what they want to say.

And the animated ones are a thousand times worse.

Karl's never happy. At his finest he's only been "alright".
