Amen.

Def not worth the $1k+ up front for a case, but I won't mind taking a few chances on some boxes here and there.

we aren't talking about the long run, we are talking about the here and now

I am considering the entertainment value of the rip as well, let's not forget it's value.

It's not worth the rip at these prices.

If I bought in early, I'd be selling boxes/cases now.

Well I don't think anyone can put a price on it but you.

I think when Jumbos are over $1000 and selling there consistently its not worth it

might be worth looking into retail cases

I've heard Strasburg's auto isn't in retail, FYI.

I'm sure there alot of folks like me just looking for 1-2 Jumbo boxes.

I'm not going to pay that much more than before, which means a couple of packs for the rip fun, and probably just singles and maybe try AIC's break. Not the most thrilling strategy, but it'll work.

Maybe Heyward and Smoak will make Topps Chrome or Series 2 better as well, which shouldn't spike nearly as much as the Bowman did.

i think 1k+ is not worth the rip + depending on what you bought in @ (for awhile, jumbos were < 700), 900-950+ may not be worth the rip imo. i'm seriously thinking of selling my cases/taking a quick (+ decent imo) profit w/o having to sort, list, scan, ship. unless you're the 1st to list, you're facing diminishing returns, especially if you don't hit omgjesusstrasburgmakesheywardlooklikeawaterboy. to make decent $ on bowman products, you usually need to rip 5+ cases (10+ if you want 20 ct lots usually), so guys ripping 1-2 cases are going to have a hard time making $900+ worth of sales (imo).

Well, this is interesting.

Blowout has just lowered their prices for 2010 Bowman cases.

Hobby -- was $930, now $865.
Jumbo -- was $1135, now $1030.

they always do that...jack prices up when someone buys a bunch of cases, lower them back down, jack them up again. i'm thinking not many buyers @ 1k+ b/c seriously, how many rippers are that deranged about ripping bowman?

There are a lot of questions. I'm torn. I want to rip, but can I really expect to get more value from doing the bulk case break thing than I could from flipping the cases? Maybe. The base checklist is the most compelling I've seen since 2007 BDP or 2006 BC, and I contend that it is way more exciting and deep than either of those. This checklist literally gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.

Settle down Jim.

Sounds like you have to rip 'em!
