Is it just me, or do these Discs seem harder to find than they should be? Andre Dawson has 5 different "variations" from these disc sets that were released back in 1989. Now, I've had this one for some years now...

The other 4? I have searched high and low for, for years! I don't know if I just kept missing them, or if they just weren't being offered. Although, I was outbid on a Weis Market, Andre Dawson/Dave Winfield Dual Disc a couples months ago. Until then I hadn't seen anything for a LONG time. That is until the last 2 weeks! All of the sudden, in the last 2 weeks I have managed to pick up each of these...

I found the Weis Disc in a 68 card lot of Dawson cards with an $8.99 BIN on it. The Weis card wasn't mentioned at all within the auction. The Tetley disc showed up on eBay so I contacted the seller and was able to get one of the 2 copies he had for $4. Turns out I should have waited because the auction actually ended for less than $2! I was able to track down the lot of (3) Key Food Discs after doing completed auction searches for other players from the set and sending messages to the sellers to see if they had any Dawson's. I was really lucky on those! Although only 2 appear to be in mint condition, I paid just $4 delivered for all 3!

NOW, I'm just down to needing one more disc to have them all! This is the last one I need...

-1989 Our Own Tea Discs #14 Andre Dawson

If anyone out there has one, or knows where I can find one, PLEASE let me know! Has anyone else out there had trouble tracking down their players discs? Feel free to share!

Thanks!
Craig

Seems like the "Our Own Tea" and "Key Foods" are always the last 2 people need. Good luck on your quest.

I've got a Bo Jackson disc somewhere here (it is an 89 or 90 & I think it was out of some kind of Beef Jerkey product)... Ring a bell for anyone? LMK, Dave. :D

the Our Own Tea is the last one I need to have them all too.. I don't know if Ive ever seen an example of one.. let alone my guy. I recently picked up the Weis Market disc on Ebay for dirt cheap. I actually think after I posted it here a few guys got their guy from the same seller by contacting him.

I'm still missing most of th 1988 and all of the 1989 from my collection.

But I have almost all of the 1987 of Robby Thompson, just need the MSA Iced Tea disc.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one suffering from that set. Has anybody even seen an example of the '89 Our Own Tea?

Of all the MSA's I'm missing two:

1988 MSA (says Super Stars)
1989 MSA Our Own Tea (says Our Own Tea)

http://www.joering.com/mcgwire/index.ph ... Search=msa

I've at least seen a picture of the 1988, never of the 1989 though.

I finally found the '89 Tetley ED...it's incoming.

I've not found the '89 Our Own Tea Disc yet either...

I picked up a couple of Clark from him in the past. He has a bunch of odd-ball stuff from the '80's for sale.

That's a cut up poster, and not an uncut "proof".
