My business partner found some stuff going thru his Dads desk and brought them to me since he knows i am a collector.
Had a few baseballs this is the only one that still is legible. I recognize a few of the names. Looks to be a Brooklyn Dodgers team signed ball.
Also had a photo album filled with signed papers and a stack of cards that are postcard size that look like Leaf Exibits

Any helps would be appreciated

The ball has these guys that I recognize:

Pee wee reese
Carl erskine
Roy campanella
Dick Williams

On a second look, there also appears to be Walter alston and don drysdale

And on one of the cards I saw what I think is Rogers Hornsby. If that is authentic, there is some serious coin on that ball, especially if the campanella is pre accident. What a find! Thanks for sharing.

Authenticated Hornsby's sell $600-1000. Groups and not full 3x5 cards sell in the lower end.

PS Ball would be Drysdale rookie with "real" Camapanella, great ball, too bad no Koufax or JRoby that I see

best of the autograph books sigs (scarcity and value wise) is Hack Wilson
followed closely by KiKi Cuyler (you have 2 of them)
Hornsby would then follow those 2
then Ray Schalk and Chick Hafey
then Gabby Hartnett

but my values are oldschool, and not PSA/DNA slabbed ones... you guys will know those better Im sure

I see someone got the last page, cool :)
very nice stuff overall, hope no one goes and cuts up the autograph book pages and ruins them forever....

the last line of your description says "Leaf Exhibits" do you mean "Leaf and Exhibits", because Leaf didnt make Exhibits....
The Exhibit Supply Co. of Chicago made them, but there are also other Exhibit-like cards like the W571 Bond Bread "Exhibits" of 1947

do you have scans of a couple??

The second one is a selection of signatures from the 1940 Ohio State football team.

It took me a few minutes, but I got it.

Yeah the auto on the right is Jim Langhurst, underneath it reads "Capt of OSU 1940"

Great stuff!

Also wanted to add that a very key signature that hasn't been mentioned yet is found on the second page. Pudge Heffelfinger is considered the first professional football player. He is a college football icon and was a superstar for the Yale teams of the 1890s.

I've handles dozens of 1950s Dodgers team-signed balls and judging only from the images, those signatures look to be clubhouse to me.

I was wondering about that. Many of the blue ink signatures look to have the same slant and size. I think the Snider doesn't fit that though.

Was going to mention that (didn't see this thread until now). Lots of team signed balls from the Dodgers in the 50's were half - clubhouse or more.

Some great items, but to get a good return for them, you'll have to pay for authentication (or consign them to an auction house that will do that for you). Best of luck with them!
