Alright, first off, happy Doomsday. I believe this is the third of the year.

Second, disregard anything below this post. I will edit everything, but I used this thread as an announcement and I didn't see the need to make a new one.

Alrighty... on too the autograph results.

I was thinking tonight would be a total bust. It actually wasn't.

We started our adventure around lunch time. I figured we could get the special guests coming out of restaurants. I was told they were not allowed to sign until the actually signing started, but the fighters would be able to sign. That bummed me out, but we hung around anyway. I saw a ton of fighters, but one in particular we graphed. His name is Mikey Zimmer. He is a local kid making his pro debut tonight. We each got him on our promo posters. My friend got him to sign both in the casino, and then he came out and my friend said "This is my friend who couldn't come in." We chatted with him. He was a very nice guy who was happy that someone wanted his autograph.

That was the morning for us. The evening was interesting...

It was a scheduled signing. We actually caught Brock Larson hanging outside of the casino entrance, and got him on some different promo posters. I didn't actually meet him since I didn't think he would sign, my friend sneaked those in. As far as what went on inside the casino, I don't really know. I had to stay out, but my friend went in. He said only Larson and Sherk showed up. I was disappointed that Wanderlei didn't show up (can someone get my 2 items signed for me??).

My friend got Sherk on my promo poster to go with Zimmer, and on my Topps UFC Finest. He had the Finest personalized to me (I won't use this one for my set because I don't take personalizations off).

It didn't go as smooth as planned, but we had fun, I met a fighter, and I walked away with a few 'graphs. I will have pics shortly.

Re: Wanderlei Silva Appearance @ CFX Hostile

So because of your age you cant set foot anywhere on the premises?

Even in vegas the kids are allowed in the restaurants and I have seen teenagers that were no way 21 at the UFC at MGM!

Re: Wanderlei Silva Appearance @ CFX Hostile

Well, we are making plans to go 'graphing tomorrow... I don't know how it will work.

We are going to go around lunch time and hang out by the restaurants. There are benches we can sit on. We may even eat in one of the restaurants, that way if anyone hassles us, we can say we were eating there.

I am planning to hang around for about an hour. We won't be there any longer than that. We may hit up the hotel lobby for 20 minutes.

If nothing happens... the Sherks go TTM, the Larsons go TTM, and the Silvas will just be sat on until someone can get them signed for me.

Re: Wanderlei Silva Appearance @ CFX Hostile

I am back from our outing. We were told that Silva, Sherk, and Larson would NOT sign until 6 o'clock.

However...

We decided to stick around anyway. Since my friend was old enough, they let him into the casino complex. Whenever someone would walk by wearing fight gear, (their hats were really low so I couldn't look at their entire face), I would tell my friend to go talk to them. We only accomplished it once, and it turned out that the guy he talked too was none other than Mikey Zimmer who is making his pro-debut that evening. We each got him on our promo posters. Because he was in the casino, I wasn't able to talk to him. He walked out of the casino and my friend said to him "Hey! This is my friend I was telling you about." He he nodded and said "Hi!" and started to walk past, then stopped and turned around and shook my hand and we had a nice conversation. He was a very nice guy. He was shocked that my friend asked him to sign (in a good way) and he talked to me and said he would be out here next year so I can see him fight then.

There is ONE MORE TWIST...

I got my friend excited about graphing today. He does not have to work, and is going back at 6 for Silva, Sherk, and Larson. I told him to get his item done first, and then he can do mine.

EDIT: Found an interesting tidbit ... Mikey is actually from here. I knew a lot of people around here knew him, I just didn't know that he was FROM here... That's pretty cool.
