I'm 99% certain Mike "Moose" Moustakas will take the #1 spot this week. I was leaning toward him already yesterday and then he hit those 2 jacks last night, which pretty much confirmed it.

I'm also pretty certain the Hot Sheet will be dominated by pitchers this time.

Other players likely to make the Hot Sheet or the Team Photo:

Julio Teheran
Stephen Strasburg
Mike Trout
Wilmer Flores
Randall Delgado
Carlos Peguero
Carlos Santana
Jerry Sands
Kyle Skipworth
Rey Fuentes
Mike Minor
Brad Lincoln
Madison Bumgarner
Travis Wood
Alex Colome
Jake Arrieta
Rudy Owens

Man Among Boys -- Scott Diamond

Helium Watch -- Dallas Keuchel, Robbie Erlin

NOT Hot List -- Mike Stanton ::facepalm::

Any names I missed?

Kyle Gibson had 2 starts this period resulting in 2 w 14 1/3 only 2 runs with 16 ks. Plus they were his first 2 starts in AA

I am sooooo kicking myself for forgetting about the 2008 bowman chrome auto BGS 9.5 that sold for $28 a couple weeks ago, would have been #7 for me :)

What does Jerry Sands have left to prove in the Midwest league? Honestly, at this point it's starting to make me wonder if there is more than meets the eye here.

You have a guy at 22 years old (23 in September), who is hitting .395-14-33 with 8 SB - 11 2B - 2 3B and a .467 OBP and 1.250 OPS through 147 AB and you don't promote him? Is he blocked that badly?

Seriously, Dodger fans. What's the deal here?

In case you're interested, BA recently conducted an interview with him.

Interesting stuff, thanks. It's funny because we attended the same high school. I was on the way out when he was on the way in and in no way at all did he look like he was going to end up as a power hitter. He was a bit of a runt baseball rat at the time. I knew a lot of the guys he was talking with at Catawba College that kind of helped him make the choice to come there. It's just odd now that Jerry is the masher. We kind of thought that Jay Cox was going to be that guy in the professionals that made an impact. After all, he played at UNC. Just goes to show you that you never can tell.

Will Nate Tenbrink ever get any love on the hot sheet?

Despite his 0 for 4 last night, Wilmer Flores is batting .390 over the last ten games.

Despite his 0 for 4 last night, Mike Trout is batting .378 over the last ten games.

Very easy for me to remember considering he is one of the few prospects I have bought that are playing well

Only problem with this is that BA's Hot Sheet doesn't cover a player's last 10 game's & although I really like Flores he doesn't really deserve to be on this week's HS or mentioned really (if he's held up to other's with previous performance's, which with BA often is not the case)..

Flores is 10-for-29, .344 avg, 2-2B's, 3RBI's, 4BB's-2K's..not Hot Sheet material IMO... ;)

Trout on the other hand may get a mention since he did have a bit more in the "extra base hit's" department (though he does have a higher K-rate):

9-for-26, .346 avg, 2B, 3B, HR, 5RBI's, 3BB's-6K's, 1SB-1CS
