This list is pretty beast like! I have met eight of the top 10 and their system is not as depleted as people think. This is only the beginning for the power of their system.

Lets keep in mind Collier with play almost all of next season as a 19 year old. The phillies made a mistake starting him at Lakewood and should have started him at Williamsport. Next year will tell alot about how he develops going forward.

:D I saw Dominic Brown today! My Uncle kept calling him Ronnie Brown!

I spent a week watching him teach my son and other kids. Had lunch with him one day. Nice, grounded, kid.

No Michael Taylor in the "projected 2013" lineup...hmm...he could be trade bait in their mind....

I think at this point he almost has to be. Barring a career-ending injury to a regular, there just isn't anywhere to put him everyday.

BTW, did anyone else notice that Anthony Hewitt, the new "Strikeout King", didn't get even a passing notice? Ugh.

Anthony Hewitt is far too far away to be a top 10 prospect. I don't believe he'll ever be a prospect or a MLB player, but ther eare those who do.

As for the projected 2013 lineup and the lack of Michael Taylor -- don't put too much time into dissecting it. With free agency costs, in 2013, there is NO WAY that the Phils will be able to afford Howard, Utley, Rollins, Hamels, Lee, Werth, and Victorino.

No one, interestingly, mentioned that Sebastian Valle, a catcher, is our projected 3rd baseman.

Kyle (Phillly): From the projected lineup in 2013, you have Valle as your 3b?? When does he make the switch, shouldnt he do this ASAP with the lack of 3B besides Mattair in the system.

John Manuel: No, he should not do it ASAP. He has a lot more value at C, and he should try to get better at C. It's no sure think that d'Arnaud would make it, either. Catching is hard. But, as I wrote, both players have taken grounders at 3b, and for the future lineup, that was good enough for me to move one there. It tells you that the Phils have no full-season 3Bs who project as regulars. The future lineups are supposed to be a fun guide, "what would this team look like if it had to rely completely on its farm system" kind of deal. Instead sometimes it's taken very literally. Don't take them literally.

That is a cop-out response....why rank the farm system and identify the best whatever (power hitter, fastball, etc) but then say the future line up is a fun guide? It takes away from your credibility when you publish them side-by-side.

Pretty much exactly as I had it. I probably would have replaced Bastardo with Colvin though.

I thought it was interesting how high he was on Jiwan James. I've been following him for a little bit now and have liked him myself, but never thought he would be considered for the top 10. I thought maybe the back end of the top 30 just because of his frame and potential.

If the great people at Pannini are reading, here's a list for you guys. :)

Trevor May
Sebastian Valle
Jared Cosart
Colby Shreve
Brody Colvin
Jonathan Singleton
Domingo Santana
Jiwan James

:D Nice...I am so out of the loop on the prospects side of the game other than Cub players in the AFL. Now to see that Dominic is the #1 prospect, I deserve a kick in the junk!

I'm friends with a lot of the Blue Claws trainers. Zach is still very young and has tons of talent. He'll be back on the Claws in 2010.

Anthony Gose is awesome. Hope he does well.
