BA Reporting Tommy Medica Done for the Season

Medica separated his shoulder diving into first base earlier this month. Coach O'Brian said he "most likely surgery and will get a medical redshirt and be back for the Broncos next year." Medica is regarded as one of the top five catchers for the '09 draft.

He was batting .429 so far this season and looked really good the two times I saw him. Hopefully this won't hurt his draft status for next year.

wow, he was absolutely raking this year. Over .400 and 8 HR I believe.

Yeah... not sure on the HRs but he was hitting .429. 8 HRs seems high for him that quick.
