Hey Guys,

Going to dedicate some time this weekend to re-organizing a very unorganized portion of the cards I have. Some of them will be going into binders. Pros or Cons on putting 18 cards into a 9 pocket page? I have always just put 2 cards back to back into binders... but I haven't used binders since my younger years. Curious if i was being dumb growing up or economical :).

Thanks all.

I did this as a kid. For lower-value cards you don't care as much about it isn't a bad idea. However, it could lead to condition issues later.

As a result of my earlier practices, some of my star base/inserts didn't survive so well, while others came out of fine. Now, with my PC collections (some rookies, player collections, etc) I put my cards one per slot. For some others, I'll do back-to-back if I am low on room or pages.

As cheap as the pages are, you would be better off just doing nine at a time. Will definitely effect value overtime if you do two at a time.

Tragically, a vast majority of the cards I'll be going through have been in binders for the last 10+ years back to back... so any damage that would be done is probably already done. Oh well - mostly re-organizing so I can show them to my kid cousins and they probably won't be as much about condition as I will be.

Call me stupid, but what type of damage should I be on the lookout for?

2 rules:

1. Never go 18 in a 9

2. Never go ass-to-mouth

You're also more likely to cause accidental edge/corner damage inserting and removing 2 cards in one pocket. That was my experience, when I was younger I put them in back-to-back to save money. Now I just go 9 per sheet for safety and so I can see the backs.

No no no no no

Youre not a kid any more, spring for the extra dimes.

doubling up stretches the pockets & risks cards falling out, not to mention messing up condition.
