I would imagine this is a hit to Bowman...

Per Rotoworld...

Nationals prospect Anthony Rendon has been diagnosed with a partial fracture in his left ankle.
Initial X-rays came back negative after Rendon injured the ankle while running the bases last weekend at High-A Potomac. But new tests were run once the swelling dissipated, and a small fracture was revealed. The 21-year-old infielder has been fitted with a walking boot and will likely miss the next couple of months.

I don't know if it's good news or bad news that it is NOT the ankle he destroyed in college. At least before this newest injury he had 1 good leg.

I chose Rendon to be my new PC guy because he was young, good, and had some local connections, but I can't help think this guy is going to be one of those that's never healthy

broken is actually better than a severe sprain. Now, he'll be forced to rest it and let it heal. Time to load up!

To be fair, Rendon had problems with both ankles as an amateur.

He ripped up the tendons in his right while at Rice, and previously fractured and had minor ligament damage to the left with Team USA.

With that history, this (I would think) should be considered as more serious had he not had previously injured it.

Both injuries were to his right ankle previously.

I thought that was the case, too, but wasn't sure enough to argue about it

Thanks for thinking of me, but like any true player collector, I am excited at the prospect of being able to get some of his stuff a little cheaper.

I really never knew what the hype was with this kid, ankle injuries of this nature are far worse than I would say Tommy John to a pitcher. He will not come back stronger, although the pitchers generally do. Glad I have no stash of his. ALthough he does have a few years anyhow.

Good to see we have a doctor on the board!
