Did yesterday's pitiful game tell us that Alabama is even better than we thought, or that Michigan was drastically overrated? Or a little bit of both?

I'm inclined to think that, with all due credit to 'Bama, there was no way Michigan should ever have been ranked #8. If that ranking is at all correct, then there is a gulf of talent and skill from the top of the Top 10 to the bottom of it and further down. If that's the best an 8 can do against a 2, then why even play the rest of the season out?

I'm a big Bama fan but Mich might have been ranked too high . Mich. will give most teams a hard time this was Bama's time

As a huge Michigan fan, I can tell you that NOTHING went our way last night. I couldn't imagine that game playing out worse than it did.

That said, Bama is just a far superior team. Bama is in a league of its own, IMO. Michigan was ranked a bit high, which any knowledgeable Michigan fan knew. Preseason rankings don't mean squat, I don't even know why people reference them. I do feel Michigan is solidly in the 10-20 range, but Bama is just too good.

First, I think the only reason Michigan was ranked in the top 10 was so this game could be hyped as a top 10 matchup. They should have been around 15.

I think Michigan will still win the Big Ten. I was getting frustrated that Borges wasn't running Denard much at all, but there were never really any lanes for him to run through anyway. No need to risk further injuries on top of the guys like Countess who already got injured.

Michigan needed to play their best game of the year to win, and they came out sloppy. Bama's only real weakness seemed to be their secondary and Michigan couldn't exploit it. And apparently you can shove a receiver out of bounds if you're 5 yards off the line.

Bama is just on a different level right now. Both Lacy and Yeldon looked like they are ready for the NFL, along with a few other guys.

Borges is a great OC and Denard is a great playmaker but I just don't think they're the right combo. Hell, Borges turned Cade McNown and Jason Campbell into first round picks.

Big picture, the game doesn't mean much. Michigan will still have a solid year and finish in the top 15. For many reasons, some more ethical than others, the Big Ten isn't the SEC.

He never said they made any mistakes. They were just the better team. Michigan still has a ways to go, but they're far from the tire fire that was 2008-10. They'll be atop the Big Ten for a while, and that good enough for me right now.

The game only reiterated that the SEC is the measuring stick for all of college football.

1. That Michigan was over-rated. Heck, the rest of the Big 10 didn't look very impressive at all.

2. That Denard Robinson will never play in a West Coast Offense.

3. Alabama can produce stud RBs, LBs and DBs at will...

he said nothing went Michigans way. I disagree. Bama did more for Michigan than the entire Blue roster.

I get the feeling Michigan isn't going to be very good until Robinson is gone. It's like he's trying to fit into the new style, but is left over and out of place.
