I think it's REALLY different. How many card magazines are there, 3 or 4? How many stores sell McFarlanes, thousands if not ten's of thousands? Beckett pulled the AP 1/1 Exquisite auto. These stores are getting 1 of 20 Sanders chase figures. Sorry, but your analogy isn't even close IMO.

Because the ratio between Beckett getting the best possible card that Exquisite made that year and these 10 select stores getting Sanders super chase is FAR and away different.

If a card company keeps beckett happy, there is the potential (spoken or otherwise) that beckett will raise the book prices of that company or give it other positive press.
