He's another of my questions for the chat.

Will it being with, "Kary, let's just say I happen to have a certain Astros former top prospect in my basement. Do you think it would be appropriate for me to let him loose, or will he never amount to anything more than housework?"

Do you moonlight as an Internet private eye? My God, word for word and everything!
For my Astros sake, I hope he returns to AA to rebuild some confidence, hit .290 with 25 homers.

For your sake, I hope he opens the season on a tear...

Honestly, I wish he would've gone to another team in the Rule 5, but no such luck.

YUCK.......

Not looking good, especially for a team that could dearly use some quality cheap talent on the roster....

If they could move Tejada and Valverde for some talent....I would be all for it.

I do not mind them rebuilding for this upcoming season and then making a push next year.

Oswalt, Lee, Berkman, Pence are fine...bring up Bogusevic, let him challenge Bourn. I would even think about putting Paulino or Nieves closer, see how they do there (instead of in the rotation).

Try to grab some decent IF prospects and another arm or two.

Would make next season a lot more promising.

Especially since I wouldn't trust Manzella at SS and I am not sure I trust two guys in the rotation (Seaton and Lyles) I have never really heard about in the rotation.

Also....JUST SIGN SHEETS ALREADY!!!

I think C.Johnson should come in at #2 as I think he has a promising future at 3rd base (but I guess they are high on B.Norris, whom I thought would only amount to relief)...Oh well, gives me time to continue building my stash! :D

Q: J.R from Dallas asks:
Where did Eli Iorg fall to? A rather unimpressive year for a 24 year old in AA. Any Chance he makes majors in 2009 or 2010?

A: Kary Booher: Iorg was one of the more stunning free falls in the prospect handbook, going all the way to the late teens/high 20s, although Einerston completely fell out. As one veteran scout said, "He doesn't pass the excitement test." And that's just one knock against Iorg, a first-round pick from 2005. Some sources questioned his willingness to be a good teammate in the clubhouse but, by and large, his bat is questionable. I think he'll get a chance at some point this season, but only because the Astros have an investment in him and could use him possibly as a fourth outfielder.
