They did list him as the "Best Athlete" for the '09 Draft Tools List, and he did actually sign a contract, so perhaps they slide him in there...still would have LOVED to have seen him with an auto in BDP or EEE.

i am a little shocked as well...then again baseball america has never been that high on reckling. here's my angels' top 10 from another thread....

#1-reckling 91-93mph with a nasty curve and developing change
#2-trout 5 tool talent with an advanced approach for an 18 yo
#3-conger "if" he stays behind the plate could have a premium bat for the position
#4-grichuk power potential galore, limited secondary tools and need to refine approach
#5-bourjos great speed, defense and gap power. should slide into CF once Torii is gone
#6-walden great stuff with a live arm, injury concern keeps him from ranking higher
#7-mesa martinez live young arm, reminds me of a young ervin santana
#8-richards seemed to put it together after being drafted, throws in the mid 90's consistently
#9-skaggs projectable frame with good upside
#10-kohn dominant fb with developing secondary pitches. could be a force in the pen as soon as late 2010

Just missed-chaffee, chatwood, smith, armista, bell, keher, trumbo

I'm liking Bourjos being so high - I really thought he was going to come in at #3 but I'll take him being a spot up from that. With me planning on liquidating out most of my prospect related inventory this year, I think that he'll off a nice ROI at some point.

On top of that, I have ~7 more base chromes, 5 more Refractors, 1 more Blue, another Gold and an Orange - this thread was a good reminder that I need to get all of my stuff scanned in before ST rolls around.

i am a big fan of bourjos and the angels brass thinks highly of him as well. i see him as a chad curtis/lenny dykstra type with a ceiling similar to johnny damon.

Conger used lyrics from Party in the USA as his facebook status. That makes him #1 for me!
