After 4400+ posts, I think it's time for me to run my first contest.
Rules
The rules are simple:
1) Post a list of who you think the Baseball America Top 30 prospects will be. The highest number of correct rankings wins.
2.) Lists can be edited up until the day of the Baseball America list going live to the public (02/22/10 11:59 PM). Any post that has been edited after this date automatically disqualifies the member from the contest.
3.) No two lists can be the same (Pauli Exclusion Principle for you chemistry nerds), meaning don't post an identical list to someone else's.
4.) In the event of a tie, the tiebreaker will be the member who comes closest to guessing the correct ranking of Lars Anderson (His ranking is a toss up to me which hopefully means less predictability).
5.) Once the top 100 prospects list is posted by Baseball America, I ask that you post the number of correct rankings out of 30 that you recieved, along with the number of positions "off" you were from Lars Anderson's official ranking.
6.) You may post to reserve your spot in the contest and edit your list later. Just be aware of the deadline.
Prize
The winner of the contest will recieve the following:
2008 Donruss Threads Jesus Montero Auto /999
The winner will also recieve an undetermined number of base cards as well. It may not be the greatest prize, but it's my first contest, and is meant to be a fun way to see how close everyone gets to guessing Baseball America's top 30 prospects from their list of 100.
Example
1.) Stephen Strasburg
2.) Jason Heyward
3.) Jesus Montero
4.) Pedro Alvarez
5.) Mike Stanton
6.) Buster Posey
7.) Neftali Feliz
8.) Brian Matusz
9.) Dustin Ackley
10.) Dominic Brown
11.) Carlos Santana
12.) Justin Smoak
13.) Madison Bumgarner
14.) Michael Taylor
15.) Desmond Jennings
16.) Starlin Castro
17.) Logan Morrison
18.) Aroldis Chapman
19.) Christian Friedrich
20.) Chris Carter
21.) Alcides Escobar
22.) Jeremy Hellickson
23.) Tyler Matzek
24.) Brett Wallace
25.) Kyle Drabek
26.) Donovan Tate
27.) Freddie Freeman
28.) Jacob Turner
29.) Martin Perez
30.) Matthew Moore
