Yep because the other players were known commodities and needed to make a halladay trade. I am not devastated over what we got for lee.

D'arnaud was underrated and if his bat continues to develop will be a pretty good ML catcher.

Marson had nothing to do with the Halladay trade.

thanks JP.

don't get why they don't particularly like Decker or Lyles. also, Chad James kind of surprised me... I like his stuff too, but dang, they are very high on him.

If I had to speculate, Decker has a good bat but not much else. He's a future DH in the wrong league. Lyles was great but is a ways off and still considered to be more of a project.

love how they have Colome and Vizcaino right next to each other, like I did. lol. My theory is that they are actually the same player. and Everytime I ask what differentiates them, it goes unanswered.

Well, I for one will be listing cards of several of these players tonight.

Let's see if BA's Top 100 hype will cause a spike this year.

Who else here will be following suit?

I'll probably list some Jennings refractors on a 5-day.

JP, I won a Withrow card from you last week. having trouble with my CC lately, I will pay though. need to call them later today.

also, if anyone knows, who are the Canadian born players on the list?

I believe it's Brett Lawrie and Philippe Aumont.

how are you shocked about Tabata JP? he kind of sucks.... he didn't make my top 150 you might recall.

That's actually shocking to me as well. Tabata was ranked highly last year (#75 overall) and had his most impressive season yet.... not to mention winning the AFL batting title in the fall. They must be buying into these alleged reports that his age may not be as young as once thought. Also conflicting with their ratings is that the organizational top 10 had Tabata #2 behind Alvarez, and ahead of Tony Sanchez, though Sanchez is ranked quite nicely on this top 100 list (#79 overall). Granted, individual BA staffers compose each list, but in general they are right on the money in terms of overall top-100 hierarchy. Very interesting. If I had to bet it was a late change based on the recent baseless speculation/scrutiny over his age.

Here is a good Tabata article. I for one think he is going to have a breakout year this year, as do the folks in Pittsburgh! http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/10054/1037846-63.stm
