I know we've done Mount Rushmore threads in the past but I wanted to do a poll to see what % of people on here would consider Babe Ruth a lock to be on Mount Rushmore?!

For the Record, I think it is a 100% lock that Babe Ruth would be on my Mount Rushmore and the Mount Rushmore if MLB actually did this ;)

Along with your vote, and especially if you don't think Babe Ruth is on it, share your personal MLB Mount Rushmore :)

As a fun reference, here is ESPN's Top 25 Players (in order) out of their Hall of 100:

1. Babe Ruth
2. Willie Mays
3. Barry Bonds
4. Ted Williams
5. Hank Aaron
6. Ty Cobb
7. Roger Clemens
8. Stan Musial
9. Mickey Mantle
10. Honus Wagner
11. Lou Gehrig
12. Walter Johnson
13. Greg Maddux
14. Rickey Henderson
15. Roger Hornsby
16. Albert Pujols
17. Mike Schmidt
18. Cy Young
19. Alex Rodriguez
20. Joe Morgan
21. Joe DiMaggio
22. Frank Robinson
23. Randy Johnson
24. Tom Seaver
25. Tris Speaker

My vote is YES, it is a 100% lock that Babe Ruth would be on the MLB Mount Rushmore. I think he is an iconic figure in Baseball history and couldn't imagine why he wouldn't be included but I know some people don't agree with me.

I agree 100% that ruth is a sure lock, beside him should be IMO the other members of the 1st HoF class of 36'. I know Rushmore only has room for 4 heads, but this should be an exception

I don't believe Babe was one of the best 4 players in baseball history but I do think he was the biggest paradigm shift baseball has ever seen, so for that I would put him on there.

Just curious as to why you dont thing Babe was one of the top 4 players of all time?
Was it the era he played in? The team he played for?

My Mount Rushmore would be, based on greatness, historical importance and name recognition:

Babe Ruth
Cy Young
Jackie Robinson
Ted Williams

Look at the previous Mt Rushmore thread and you'd find your answer of % who puts Babe on theirs... (Yes , I'm just being a pain)

Maybe I'm biased but you can't have a baseball mt Rushmore without the greatest player ever. Not only could he hit with the likes of ted williams but he probably would have gotten him out as a pitcher!!

If some feel as tho Ruth should not be an automatic lock on an MLB Rushmore, leads me to believe 1 of 2 things....1. That person is still in pull-up diapers so when asked about ruth, the response would be "who's that?" Or 2. Not enough is known about the Bambino and think there are others far greater. IMO
