I'd guess you'd have to have a hitters one and a pitchers one. Just my opinion.

If some feel as tho Ruth should not be an automatic lock on an MLB Rushmore, leads me to believe 1 of 2 things....1. That person is still in pull-up diapers so when asked about ruth, the response would be "who's that?" Or 2. Not enough is known about the Bambino and think there are others far greater. IMO

Agree, definitely can see circumstances where he's not on people's lists. It's kind of the like greatest movie lists and people saying why the f should I care about Citizen Kane?

My Mount Rushmore would be, based on greatness, historical importance and name recognition:

Babe Ruth
Cy Young
Jackie Robinson
Ted Williams

Ted Williams? Why not Nolan Ryan, Mickey Mantle, or even Derek Jeter. Today more people would recognize the name Derek Jeter than Ted Williams. and I'd put Jackie Robinson before Cy Young.

Derek Jeter is just laughable!! At least in my opinion

I'm just saying Ted Williams doesn't have historical importance or name recognition. I think someone like Hank Aaron, Mickey Mantle, or Nolan Ryan would have more historical importance and name recognition. Particularly Hank Aaron.

I think Jackie is definitely on there.

Just as laughable as Williams IMO. Neither should be there if you are picking 4 players.

I think it's definitely Ruth, Cy Young and Jackie Robinson... the 4th spots is probably where a lot of people differ IMO.
