For starters, any living player should be excluded from a possible list as Mount Rushmore was a tribute to deceased Presidents.

For starters the presidents depicted were not the 4 greatest presidents. They were chosen because they preserved the Republic and helped the nation expand its territory.

If we went by Borglum's criteria I'm guessing the answers here would be different.

Perhaps if they are deceased. I'm not saying some living players aren't deserving of some kind of recognition but I can't get on board with carving a 60-foot sculpture of a living person's likeness at the expense of the federal government.

Yeah, we'd have to set some criteria for how baseball players should be considered. There are no wrong answers without criteria.
