I know your looking for 2000 - present, but if I were a true Yankees fan on a somewhat limited budget, I'd dive in to Mattingly. You can put together an awesome collection for peanuts these days, and he has plenty of auto's, gu's, ect.. Also, if your looking for higher end stuff, he has that too! Plus, he is included in most of the hard to find 90's insert stuff.

I do like mattingly the only thing though is that he dosent have any non-auto/gu cards 2000-present

Also does he still have autos in sets?

Once you scratch the surface on him, your going to be suprised on just how many cards he has, even being produced still!

What do u guys think about Joba and Hughes?
They have tons of cards already produced plus tons more to come.

I dont want someone whos going to be worthless, after a certian amount of time.

if you want a TRUE yankee you have to go with mariano, jorge or jeter. some of jeters autos are dropping fairly low now. I'd be SHOCKED if any one of those players retired in a uniform that wasnt pinstriped. their autos might be a little higher than what youd like, but for 300 bucks you can build a decent starter collection. one or 2 autod a few GU maybe a patch & an RC or 2. those 3 will always be cherished by yankee fans.

Yea those are the only yankees as of now that will be on the Yankees there whole career.

Might go with jeter.
Autos go as low as $50 now dont they?'
And the good thing about jeter is that he will never go down in price

Haven't read through all of this, but Granderson would be good for you! He is VERY fan friendly, does TTMs, is a Yankee, and you will be ablt to get all of his stuff in Yankee gear because it is just now coming out. Problem solved.

Probaly him though because hes alot cheaper.
