It's tough because you'd like to see both teams 100% healthy in the finals, but it's also the risk that goes along with Bynum. It's not a fluke injury that just happened at a bad time. The kid has had knee problems his whole career.

The celtics bench is looking really solid here in the 4th. Glen davis is a beast

I never thought he would live down the video of him crying like a "big baby" on the bench after Garnett tore him a new one. He's actually made people forget it.

never forget. it's all part of the enigma and joy that glen davis is to watch.

I actually remember it MORE, because it's such a key component to Davis becoming the player he is. After having the label of no competitive fire, I think that was the turning point that made him the force we saw last night (and, most of the playoffs).

I'll echo what was said, Game 5 is vital. They need 2-out-of-3 here, and they can grab one of the LA games; particularly if Bynum is as hurt as he looked last night. If Game 5 is one where all 4 of Rondo/Pierce/Allen/KG have solid-to-outstanding games, I think LA folds in Game 6. In fact, if Bynum is out, and they go with Odom and make Gasol the center, then I start Davis over Perk.

I forget if it was ABC or the local station that said it, but one broadcaster said that with Bynum out the matchups revert back to 2008. Perk does a pretty good job with defense on Gasol. No matter how much everyone is saying Gasol is the best big man to ever walk the earth (hyperbole), he's still soft and doesn't like contact. Perk puts his body on him, and you could see Gasol shrinking away from contact when Perk was on him. The Bynum injury could be huge for the Celtics, but they still need to play better. In order to win they need to players to step up. Game 2 it was Ray and Rondo, and last night it was Pierce and Baby.

I think Gasol may just be used to pull Perk out of the paint, and that will let Odom and Kobe become slashers. At least, that's what I'd do. If the Lakers end up playing it like 2008, then you're right, that's very good for the Celtics. But, like everything, they need to execute.

It's been an interesting series. No one on the Celtics can be relied upon to bring it every night the way Kobe does, but with Pierce, Garnett, Allen, Rondo and the support cast, there are enough guys that someone will be on his game almost every night.

Bynum being out would be a positive for Celtic fans, but it is unfortunate when an impact player can not be on the court.

I don't understand how that deal didn't get done on both ends, unless Toronto really doesn't believe in Bynum and would rather have the cap space.
