Hi Everyone,

USPS tracking info places a card in my building's mailbox on Saturday April 25. I never received this card and I fear it may have been stolen. It's a unique card, so if you see it listed anywhere please let me know. Here are the details:

2018 Topps Chrome Sapphire Superfractor Anthony Rendon 1/1 #36 BGS 9.5

I'm hoping this is just a mix up at the post office. I know shipping/logistics are kind of a mess right now, but I've had other packages arrive just fine. I've also contacted a few of my local shops just in case someone tries to move the card through them. Not sure what else to do!

Can't lie, that doesn't sound good. I had a situation a few years ago with an expensive item placed in a lockbox in the cluster mailbox where I used to live. They'd put the key to the lockbox in your mailbox. Only I didn't get the key. I don't know if they put it in the wrong mailbox or what, but according to the PO it was "delivered" and I never saw it. The card, sadly, is somewhere in your building other than your apartment.

Perhaps placing a note on the mailboxes offering a reward for the item (without being specific about what it is) would yield something. Good luck getting your card. Missing a card like that really sucks.

Thanks! There aren't many units in my building and the community is friendly...really hard to believe someone in the building is responsible but I suppose anything is possible. If it ever arrives I'll post an update!

Can't imagine the stress level of having a starting 9 in transit for 6 weeks. Still hopeful that it shows up after being stuck in USPS purgatory.

I had two cards last year in this same situation. I never got the cards and fuckBay & paypal both sided with the sellers because the delivery confirmation shows it was delivered. I'm still out $145 for those two Ripken cards...

Hope it turns up for you. I've had other people's packages delivered to my box before...usually the next street over so it's no big deal to drop it on their porch.

Good luck, I hope you get your card. I can tell you don't waste your time filing a missing package with the USPS. I had a card go missing in early March that I filled out a missing item file with the post office. I used tracking and about a week later the package was delivered and showed delivered in their tracking service. May 7th I received an email from the USPS telling me they were still looking for the package and were sorry they hadn't found it yet. Today I got another email.....

We regret to inform you that after thoroughly searching for your mail we were unable to locate your missing item.

Duh, you might want to check and see and you'll find out it was delivered a couple months ago.
Again, good luck I hope you get your card.

This happened to me recently, with the by far most expensive (and by far my new favorite) card I've ever bought. I was a wreck, but fortunately I was able to track down the driver at the post office the next morning. She agreed to open up all the boxes in the mailroom of my building to find it in case she put it into the wrong one, and sure enough that's exactly what happened. I was so relieved that I gave the lady a hug, it was during one of the worst weeks in my life (mom was getting surgery the next day, and best friend tried to kill herself the day before) and getting that card was the only good thing I had to look forward to lol.

I hope you get similar luck man, my advice if you can't get your post office to help you would be to knock on your neighbors doors and ask them if they might have got a package by mistake.
