I buy from this guy 2 Hot Wheels Item Number 200396331470 On October 20th, This morning I received a PM asking to please leave feedback [AGAIN]. Heres what I sent back:

Hello:

Over the last few weeks, I received _many_ Hot Wheels. The quantity of them is sufficiently great that it's impractical for me to do feedback on all of them individually.....esp. given that ebay has changed the way feedback is given.....making the FB-page less-accessible. Therefore, I've gotten to the point where, sadly, about the only time I leave FB is when I'm _dis_-satisfied with a purchase.

For that reason, I'd appreciate it if you'd consider not pestering me anymore re: FB on this item.....lest I find myself with a reason to leave it.....

I sent the items out to the same day you paid for them, I sold both of them to you a lower cost the BIN, you should leave for the sellers you buy from. A request to have feedback left for you is not wrong. Im sorry that you are so upset.

What makes him an a-hole? Sure, he contacted you to leave feedback, and I agree that's annoying. But, once he realized you felt you didn't have time for it, he said he was sorry you were upset, thanked you, and wished you a nice day. Doesn't sound that a-hole-ish on his part? What am I missing? If anything was a-hole worthy in this, well, you know what I'm going to say....

Given the star rating system, sellers rely on the feedback they receive to build their reputation.



EDIT: I see where this is coming from now. PHEW!!! I've always liked mazarazz and would hate to think I misjudged him.

From a fellow seller, I'd say you're the a-hole, but that's just my opinion. I'm fairly certain I buy and sell more than you and I try to leave feedback for all my transactions, it doesn't take that long. It's just what you do, especially with the stricter rating system ebay has put into place for the seller. Feedback and the 5 star ratings are a lot more important than they used to be. Find time. It takes seconds and yes, it may take longer than it did before, but if you use "MY EBAY", it's quick just like before. What's your username? I'll block you instead.

The seller is a tool. I ignore any requests to leave feedback. If I want to leave feedback I will.

But I will say requesting feedback is a little pathetic. I never do that . . . as a buyer or seller. I'd rather you leave nothing, than 1 star feedback positive, that will hurt worse. But I understand a seller's point of view, b/c feedback is very important to the whole selling system, buyers who've never sold or rarely sell don't care about feedback nor understand the importance of it.
