Always hate posting Beckett stuff, but figured everyone would be interested in seeing this break.

Looks like there were extra hits per box, but overall - Meh! Now I see why it's in the companies best interest to send them "loaded" boxes, because that would not have inspired me to spend $400 on a box (Pretty much could have been called Donruss Hodge-Podge, as most of those cards looked like they came directly from another product).....but that could just be me, here's the link to the vid.

I watched that last night and it was pretty brutal.

I HATE how they are constantly saying "mem card" so it catches on. It sounds dumb and nobody says it but those clowns.

I wasnt aware that Panini was going to make a 400 dollar box of Threads. Outside of the ARPs, this stuff looks like it belongs in a release from july.

I like the cards with the painted look (like the Barry Sanders jersey card) - much like this year's Contenders. I have a really hard time with the inclusion of marginal rookies in a product like this. I'd be pissed to pay $400 for the right to pull a Nate Davis or Stephen McGee auto. Pretty weak overall.

Tracy is growing an afro.

I wish companies would do away with these expensive highend products. ::facepalm::

I think that the expensive products are warranted. I'm more than willing to pay top dollar for a real nice card on ebay. Exquisite (last year especially, with all the on card autos) always has some of the nicest looking stuff you'll find. While there will always be a place for low and mid-end stuff, the really expensive stuff is great.

Stickers = yuck
Base design = best thing about product
rest of design = can you say donruss classics, gridiron gear, prestige, etc
value= neither box yielded 1/2 of ebay presell prices.

They've done stickers in every year of NT.

The best part about stickers is that they avoid cards turning out like this:

Gonna be pissed about that one for a while.

Not yet. Just got it this weekend so there really hasn't been time to get in touch with them.

I wouldn't toss the product to the fire just yet. While these two boxes were very lackluster....and I mean LACKLUSTER, I wouldn't jump to conclusions that its all gonna be crap. I'm sure this is just a bad two box run. I've seen it before. Everyone gets pumped, the Beckett Bros do a break and it looks crappy, and people fall off the bandwagon only to realize that the product isn't as bad as initially thought.

I always look forward to NT. I myself don't buy it but I love watching it being broken. There are always gonna be some really nice cards to pop. I see great things for our group break on this site. Yes, I called it here and now. You guys will be pleasantly surprised at your case. Good luck and hold on to your hats. Its gonna be nice.

Compared to every other release of NT this one is by far the worst. Designs are terrible, looks to be filled with useless single color gu's and unlimited parallels. No thanks. 06 was the best year of NT.

Weak. For trying to be comparative to Exquisite, they sure fall far short of the mark.

I say ever year that sticker autos have no place in a product like this (or any product for that matter).

Rookies look terrible.

You know, I never thought I would say this, but I actually have to praise Beckett just a tiny
little bit for finally discussing (albeit briefly) the risk/reward inherent in buying high-end products.

The rookie autos (the popular rookies at least) are on card autos, not stickers.

I'm not sure they all are. The DHB looks like a sticker? And a couple of the other rookies they pulled are. I read somewhere else that only the "true rc" is on card. I know they babble about it and are unsure in the video, but like I said, I read elsewhere that's the designation. You can see the Brown is on -card and auto'd on the right side, so if that is true, that means they'll also be a bunch of Brown parallel "rookies" with the sticker over on the left side.

I also agree with whoever posted earlier that you really can't judge the product on 2 boxes. Personally I was a little surprised by the player selection, the small or plain swatches on the "mem cards" :P lol , and some of the designs, because I've always thought NT was as good/if not better in those areas then Exquisite, and an overall better value.

Can't wait to see the box breaks in a few days - Hope anyone on here that ordered does great....and at least you won;t be stuck with the two boxes beckett opened. :D
