The Beckett Video Guru says the video will be posted later this morning.

(I never said it was going to be posted last night ... go read the very first post here.)

In other news, we'll be giving away five boxes of 2010 Bowman, starting with one tomorrow.

:grouphug:

Did you guys have to edit out "pulling" the Strasburg Super so it didn't look so suspicious? Just kidding, can't wait to see the break.

If beckett keeps this up, they are going to drive all their customers away, possibly to a different site.

You all act like Beckett owes you something and that it's their responsibility to post their box break.

It's kind of funny, because all of you bash the hell out of Beckett daily and how they're this and that, but when they have something you want, you all bitch and moan that they're inaccessible.

Ahh, the wonderful world of double standards.

Couldn't disagree more.

If they're going to advertise that they're doing the first break of this product and Chris Olds is going to have a running countdown on his Twitter, I think everyone who took time out of their day to go to their website or to wait in this thread for a link to the break has the right to be as pissed off as they want that they never posted the break.

They're wasting everyone's time by being misleading about when the break will be posted for people to watch. That's why everyone's pissed off.

Can one of you mathemeticians extrapolate about how many base USA Chromes were made?

(Let's assume Jumbos will yield one per two packs.)

My math gives me just under 10K USA base chromes produced of each.

Theres been a string of lackluster Bowman products over the last year plus and this is the most talked about, hyped, LOADED Bowman (all around) in many years.

Plus, this board is filled with prospectors of all kind AND theres been a glut of "low level/insanely high priced" products issued this year which hasnt helped. All this makes our mouths water, craving something new about this product.

Beckett doesnt owe us anything but on the other hand, its pretty wieird to delay the video (one box mind you) consisting of the most anticipated Bowman product in a while. If it was delayed for Stealth Racing, no one would say anything, but its THIS product.

The autos and player selection are super loaded. It will take about 12 hobby cases to accumulate a 20 count lot of Bryce Harper and I can't even dream of what that might sell for.

As far as base chromes (there are a lot produced, probably 25k of each card) and parallels (very very hard pulls). The presses were cranked, that's why the auto cl is so big. That being said, I honestly don't believe that a 20 ct lot is going to sell any differently whether there is a print run of 15k base cards or 25k base cards (I think there are about 25-30k base chromes).

So the only real impact to the case breaker here is pulling less parallels, those pulls will probably be similar to the parallel pulls in 2008 Bowman w/Chrome.

Hit the nail on the head. I have no need to see the product broken before I get my five cases. But if you tell me (or insinuate) that you're going to do something - then run down this pseudo-countdown of content - do it.

Lighten up.

Anyone who was/is "waiting in this thread for a link to the break" needs their head examined!

After reading this string of posts, I'm actually embarrassed to be a card collector.

I would think the USA cards (even in smaller lots) will make up for some of the value from fewer parallels.

How do you think 20ct lots players from the top 100 prospects set will sell?

What part of "Coming up this afternoon ... and online ASAP!" says that the video was going to be online yesterday?

I just had to ask...

assumptions are fun too!

I mean cmon... you see a business with something that everyone wants it would be only logical that (if they build it up and then write it would be out "ASAP" youd guess that it would only take 66 hours topps.) they go on and give it to you.

youre right.. dont know what I was thinking

Most outrage here wasn't for the lack of video, it was the slow process it took to post scans. Mr. Olds took over an hour to post scans of about 15 cards, which takes most of us about 3 mins to do. Prior to posting the scans he used his time to describe every single pack odd as well as describe his thoughts on how each card looks, and then attempted to make random FCB jokes. That being said, his actions were meant to stir up a riot on this board. Anyhow, nobody cares anymore since they are posted, and now a few are just waiting to see the video. I was one of the many frustrated prospectors yday, but I appreciate him doing his part and getting this info out a week before release date. All in all, thanks Chris!

Chris - if I'm not mistaken, you still haven't posted scans of the auto(s) you pulled out of your boxes (he didn't pull the Heyward).

Can you let us know?

I was just told by a pretty reliable source at Beckett that it would be available via DVD in the next issue of Baseball Card Monthly.
