I would agree with JP here. If those that the place of the chromes they might as well be soft crap. This will kill box breaks.

I wonder why Topps has, for the second year, refused to print the AFLAC Autograph checklist here. They do give out the odds of pulling them this year, which makes this make even less sense.

Matt - I believe these additional autographs do in fact take the place of regular Bowman Chrome autos per box.

Wonderful. 10 new non-1st year autographs added at the last minute. ::facepalm::

Wax breakers, you better wear a cup.

Those look like additional autographs on top of the chrome autos, seems like a positive to me much like the Longoria and Kershaw autos from last year's product.

At least those additional autographs were on Chrome.

These are plain ol' regular Bowman autos. And maybe no parallels?

I can't imagine that they would take the place of the chrome auto. Especially if they are plain ol' regular bowman autos.

Jp,

I hope you are wrong. I really do, because if you are right, I willjoin those complaining. I have a hard time believing that topps would change the one chrome auto per box that has been a staple for years.

I should probably have qualified my earlier post by saying that I didn't break any 2008 BDP, so obviously I'm not positive.

Now that I think about it, did AFLAC autos take the place of Chrome autos last year?

The AFLAC's and RC Logo autos were all extras on top of the chrome autos.

Does that really matter when they don't yet have a BC auto?

Here are a few names.

Brett Jackson
Shelby Miller
Nick Franklin
Slade Heathcott

and of course, the Boras contingent.

I may be a little biased, but Brett Jackson would have been a big add (Auto or Base card). Especially, since he only has a Tristar Auto so far.

If that is the case, then that softens the blow a bit.

Still, collectors of AFLAC autos can hardly be happy that their odds just became longer.

And I find it a bit shady that Topps didn't announce these new 10 autos ahead of time, as they did in last year's offering.

I don't think the odds of those changed at all. I don't see any reason why they would be seeded at a different rate because of base bowman autos.

I still think its worth atleast a 2 box break. Gotta try my luck.... just doesnt look like it would be worth going any deeper.

According to the Beckett post, they are 1:238, which would be 1:10 boxes.

Does anyone know what the odds were last year? Or were they not on the wrappers at all?
