....and try to do it at a show where BGS is set up, if possible. It's commonly known BGS is more generous with grading at shows.
Depends at what show and what graders show up.
And this is why I don't grade cards.Nor do I buy them graded.Only authenticated for the most part.If its a 9 then its a 9.They should not vary.Human error is why I do not do the whole graded thing.
There's always going to be human influence. It's kind of the same thing with college and school, what one teacher see's as a A is only a B to another teacher. Yes they have standards that they fall into, but variance exists.
Of course there will be human influence. Anyone who grades recognizes this, and accepts it.
If anyone can find a flawless, perfectly objective way to grade cards, let me know.[/quote:244i5bph]
So why let human error decide what the grade of your card is?Why would you pay a premium for it?There is no way to have anyone flawlessly and objectively grade stuff. There just isn't.So that said...why would you want it done?Seems like a waste of time to me.Especially considering that people can resubmit for a sub bump or that certain people may get better grades on their stuff than others.Just makes it all seem more and more worthless.About the only thing its good for is to settle authentication questions.Thats it.
If anyone comes up with an actual reason to buy graded besides making a profit...let me know.
